Underrated by most Kings fans. A solid player but a questionable presence in the locker room.

Thanks for your work Salmons. I always thought that you were the best player in Kings.

There were things I liked about him and things that I really didn't care about.

There were definitely times when Salmons was the best offensive threat we had out there. Probably better at going "coast to coast" than anyone else on the team. Best of luck in Chicago!
 
Good luck John even though you couldnt carry this team to more wins I will never forget all the great offense you provided and the clutch shots you made to win some games.
 
Funny how much things changed from his first year, when he seemed like a great all around and unselfish bench player.

Nothing's really changed, but at the same time, nothing's the same.

Hope he does well.

Being a role model professional athlete and playing with quiet determination. You were always well respected in the Kings locker room. I recall Ron Artest saying, "every player on the Kings loves John, the good family man" - after he ran from the locker room to settle you down once he returned from injury and coach put him back ahead of you in starting line-up.

Your offense was always solid, but your strong defense is what I'll most remember, so often checking the other teams best player - and often key to securing a Kings win or staying in the game with a chance for victory.

Tear 'em up in ChiTown!
 
Definitely the best MLE signing in recent memory. And man, do I remember people flipping out the day we signed him too...

Thanks John for proving that when Geoff is allowed to do his job, he is still a top GM. He saw you struggle with Iverson in Philly, and out bid Toronto to grab you up. You turned into a player that raised some eyebrows (both good and bad), and was often the only bright spot on the floor. Thanks John, and good luck in Chicago.
 
I don't suppose your time here turned out to be all you hoped for. Thank you for your contributions to the Kings and the community. I wish you and your family all the best. :)

Best player on the team, should have let him played as he wanted. Big mistake IMO. Of course I had to buy a Salmons jersey at the beginning of the year.
 
You'll be putting Gordon to the bench for good Mr. Salmons. You'll pair up with Deng and Rose. It'll be a good team to run and Vinny del Negro adds some shouting defense to your opponents. So it'll be great!

Good luck, but not much appreciation here- I suspect, one day down the road, the stories of what Salmons was like in the lockerroom will emerge.

I await the day. His attitude is part of his departure.
