Joey Dorsey Anyone?

earlier in the season evans was called a mini lebron. now we have a baby dwight. all we need now is a mini kobe, mini cp3, and mini tim duncan and we'll have ourselves a miniature sized all star team :D

Perhaps Sean May could serve as Mini-Andre-the-Giant...

He's still too small for a center. But then Hawes playing pretty small too so maybe it makes no difference.

I do like Dorsey though.

I like Dorsey too alot, I think he can become a real nice rebounder, defender in the NBA.

I think what this team needs in the starting lineup is a guy thats strictly a garbageman. Whether it be Dorsey or Brockman we need that type of toughness in our starting lineup at the 4 to sorta set the tone for the game.

Plenty of teams have guys in there starting lineup that are just there to set the tone, body up dudes, grab some boards. It might be something we should look into for awhile.

With all that said Joey Dorsey cannot be our starting center.

I find it odd that he is actually younger than Greene and yet when Greene has a good game people go nuts and when he follows it up with a stinker no one seems to mind. However, when Hawes has a good game people try to nitpick it or say "about time" and when he follows it up with a stinker he gets called demeaning nicknames. And this isn't a knock on Greene, I love him and think he has the second most potential on our roster behind Reke. However, I feel Hawes deserves the same patience and respect.
Yeah that two months difference makes such a huge difference. ;)

Based off what? That he has a nose around the hoop? Hawes has the length to do it, and can once he hits the weights more. Oh, and Hawes also has a pretty good shot and pass!

Hawes has way more upside.
Hawes has way more upside...true, but he's got his head up his *** right now.

As the biggest Memphis homer on the board I say no no no no no..

Why? He's nothing really more than a hustle player.. Kinf od like Brian Skinner. Will give you spurts where he goes off for 10-10 5 games in a row but will be MIA the next few games.

He's best used as a bench/hustle/energy player.

Lol, I think you are joking here, but just in case, my point wasn't that Hawes was younger and had more potential, but that they are the same age and we should expect the same type of inconsistency. It would be much different if Hawes was 35 and Greene was 22.

Thought of Hawes and Dorsey being fused into one player ... *drools*

Exactly, if Dorsey could have 80% of Spencer's offense, we'd have a center. And if Hawes could have 80% of Dorsey's defense we'd have a center. Where is the mad scientist when we need one?
