Jerry's take on Thomas Robinson:

I really like Jerry Reynolds and respect his player evaluations. Thanks for posting the link Baja. Jerry mentions Cousins, Thompson and Robinson as a young 3 big rotation and says not a word about Chuck "Chuckwagon" Hayes. HHhhmmmm?

I haven't seen it posted, so why not. Not much else to talk about. I agree with most of what Jerry has to say. What I find particularly interesting, is that he never mentions Chuck Hayes.

Everyone seems to be avoiding Chuck.

When we drafted Trob, Smart and Petrie barely (if at all) mentioned Chuck as part of the big crew. Same goes for the press conference when JT resigned. It is kind of strange.

I also found it somewhat interesting that Jerry mentioned how Robinson WAS playing more like a SF in the summer league, something some of us also noticed. At the very least, it's nice to see members of the TEAM acknowledge this. What they actually do with this information going forward remains to be seen.

The team hierarchy has realised how much of a monumental stuff up Chuck Hayes signing has been! He is a situational type player on a good team (4th or 5th big) but you don't sign that player to a 4 year $22 million deal. That is the veteran's minimum territory...maybe slightly more.

Jerry's comments have nothing to do withHayes. I'm surprised anyone would think so.

I believe what we were saying is that he mentioned Robinson, Cousins, and Thompson as being a very good 3 man rotation. So we noted that he made no mention of Hayes. Which I thought was a little unusual, since most believe he'll be a part of the Kings rotation. Its just our conspiracy Theory minds kicking in....

And my point was that Reynolds' point was, the obvious IMO, that the three will be a terrific rotation. In his context and mine Hayes will be great 4th back-up. He shouldn't impaci thef 3 man rotation.
