Jerel McNeal article:

well I dont know much about him. But apparently there's a decent amount of interest.

I Think that in order for him to stick with the team Beno must be traded(which is a long shot)

I just read this. Sounds good to me. I agree with Petrie, we have a lot of needs. He was a Second Team All American. If he shows any of that during the Summer League, he will definately be in Training Camp.

Based on the roster I think there may be room for him.

Hes got some nice hops and defense/toughness. The more toughness added to the team the better. Best of luck to the kid I hope he makes our squad.

It seems to me that his odds of sticking depend on whether his massive improvement in three point shooting last year was a fluke or due to hard work. If he can play D and shoot, he could have a nice career as a role player in this league.

he was one of the best players in the best college conference of the NCAA. I like that pick-up and hope he makes the roster. We need another cheap 2 guard for depth purposes.

I like Bryant as a back-up big to fill out the roster with Diogu.

C: Hawes, Bryant
PF: Thompson, Diogu, Thomas
SF: Nocioni, Greene, Casspi
SG: Martin, Garcia, McNeal
PG: Evans, Beno, Rodriguez

He's got potential, but didn't get drafted because he's an undersized shooting guard (6'3). Still, if he can shoot and defend in the NBA like some think he can, he can be of value to us. If he can learn to play the NBA point, he could have a nice career.

This guys defense is pretty good. Even as a backup he's a brawler for the ball like Brockman. Not so sure about his shooting. Good luck to him He'd be a welcome addition.

If he's good enough to make the team, then thats where its an advantage to have Evans as the point guard. On the defensive side, Evans can guard the other teams shooting guard and Terel could guard the other teams point guard. If Evans can become a good point, then the Kings can create all kinds of mismatches.

Ahem...that's damn near a quote of something I posted the other day. :p

That's ok though, you know what they say: imitation is the sincerest form of abject groveling hero worship.

Ha Ha, ever the humble one. I will then give you credit for it. I can sincerly say that either I didn't read your quote, or, at my advanced age forgot that I did. I have been known to reread halfway through a book before realizing that I read it before.

I would prefer to say that "Great minds think alike ", I think I stole that one too...

He shot over six a game so I'd chalk it up to hard work.

I like him as a prospect, he's supposed to be able to handle the ball a little. He might be viewed better if he'd have had the chance to play PG for Marquette instead of Dominic James.
