Right up there.

We have put together an absolutely amazing no hope season. Now wins, no playoffs, no trades, no free agent money, and of course now scuttling the draft pick as well.

Oh, and we just got done dropping some huge chunk of the season ticket holder base.

I mean, this ain't easy to do.

gotta hope the maloofs lose a crapload of $$ to teach them a lesson. no hope w/ this this bleeeeeping team. no direction, hired a junior college coach last summer, made no significant moves last offseason ANNNNND this trade deadline. wooo hooo!!! great to be a kings fan

This is the biggest bunch of bull****, you no what im tired of this team. Im done there is no hope here. F it. Screw this team they will never go anywhere.

This might have very well been worth it knowing a good part of it had to do with Justin and Ronnie.

i'm happy to see the kids developing- just not like this when its detrimental if we are moving down the draft pick ladder. hello? earth to musselhead, why didn't you do this earlier in the season? instead put us through agony playing some damn vet players who look unmotivated to play.

The talent drop from 7-12 isn't really that significant in this draft IMO. I would still like us to get as many balls as possible for the lotto though.

But there is no way this win tonight is a detriment. Guys like Ronnie and Justin are doing their best to prove all the naysayers wrong. Gotta love that!

Even the worst teams in the NBA win now and then...I can imagine there are lots of Blazers/T-Wolves/Hawks/Pacer fans complaining tonight. Maybe Sonics fans too.

Go Sonics! Beat the Lakers!!!

How is being tied for 5th and with a chance to get to 4 then with this dumb win bringing you to a tie at 8th not detrimental. I have come to the conclusion that God just does not like this team. And im starting to agree, they cant do the simplest of things right, like lose.

As soon as you get excited about something, this happens. This is freeking rediculous. I now would not be surprised if we ended up with the #12 pick.

Meh its simple....Our vets suck. Our coach is bad.

Bad coach played bad vets all season thinking that would get wins...It didnt. So Bad coach gets word to pack it in and play youth. Youth is better then the bad vets and gets us a win.

WOW!! that was the most fun i have had watching a game in a looooong time!! maybe should have used our bench a bit more this season :D

I agree. That was the best game of the season. The Kings won that one on pure guts and effort - and maybe a little luck. Watching the young guys go all out is pure entertainment! I'll worry about the draft pick later. That might have been the only Kings game this season I actually got into. Kudos to the young guys.

Maybe it's just me but I don't think it's realistic that we end up with the 4th or 5th pick at seasons end. I think 7-12 is more likely regardless of what happens here near the end of the season.

Those extra ping pong balls could make all the difference.

Why can't we do anything right? We lose when we want to win and win when we want to lose?

Musselman is a twit. WE NEED LOSES RIGHT NOW.

Ya know--when I read the posts about the need to lose, it totally makes sense. Then when I walk into the arena and the Kings come out, I want to win--I know, I know, we want to lose to get a better pick, but this is my team and I want them to win----and so did thousands of others there tonight. It was great to see Williams and Price play so well. Williams needs to get better offensively and needs better hands, but that will come with playing time. Miller asked to be taken out and didn't return due to his foot problems. Yesterday on KHTK, he said that he didn't know how much more he would play. I've had plantar fasciitis and I can't imagine anyone walking much with that, leave out playing basketball, so hope he sits the rest of the season. The only glaring things I noticed with the kids, who played so well, was that the passing was difficult and poorly executed. The contributed to our few assists as well.

Please, please, please, fire the coach after the season ends. We have talent and we need a coach that knows what he is doing! Annie.

No, I agree with guy two above me... Can't even lose right... The Kings are OUT of the playoffs. Meaning, NOTHING good can come from a win. Not one thing. No better time to lose than now, and they win. All well, still got a few more losses to rack up before the season ends.

*edit, now three above me

I can name a few things. While we should be losing more than winning, outright tanking can suck the winning culture from a franchise. The belief that one draft pick will save everyone's ***, but until then, complete complacency.

And this wasn't just any win. It was won by the youth, as in the future? We want them to be successful and keep that hunger alive. Remember Shareef, who had all his competitiveness sucked out of him because of losing. It gives me hope to see that the youth can be so energetic even through such a losing season. I think it benefited guys like Ronnie and Justin that went undrafted because it gave them a hunger that is very refreshing to see.

In the end, it's all about walking the fine line between winning and losing to keep the future bright.

On another note, it still seems Muss still has no clue on how we should run our offense. In the fourth quarter especially, we really didn't run a single play. I don't call letting Salmons iso the whole time an offense. I want to see some kind of offensive feel from Muss; anything will do, dammit. Yet we are still running around without any idea on what kind of team we want to be.

Hrm...

I was going to talk about the game and how much fun it was to see the youngsters go out there and really play hard but somehow, after reading this thread, I've lost all interest in sharing the excitement I had...

And you know what? That's a shame...
