I think Andrew Bynum should be benched for as long as Wallace is unable to play. I am beyond sick and tired of thug mentality plays like this...

Thug Mentality? If you watch the replay you could see that Bynums intention was not hurt Gerald Wallace or to send a message. It was a lazy hard foul.

Charlotte coach Larry Brown, however, was against upgrading to the more serious flagrant-2.

Brown told The Charlotte Observer, "That kid (Bynum) waited at our bus, trying to get to Gerald, and he apologized to me. If he had a history of that (rough play), I might feel different, but I just think it was a hard foul."

To quote Artest, "No Layups!"

While there is no doubt that Bynum certainly did not mean to injure Wallace the way he did, he still deserves a suspension. I'm not being biased, but that was just plain dangerous. You can't elbow someone in the ribs when they're exposed and in the air like that. I know for a fact he didn't mean to injure him, but where do you draw the line? It was excessively dangerous, end of.

I'm not saying take away hard fouls altogether, but Bynum didn't even make an attempt to make a play on the ball.

Good to see that Bynum waited to apologise, shows a touch of class. He was obviously worried about Gerald.

Get well soon, Gerald.

I think Drew has realized that he's not a pudgy kid anymore, bodywise.

Secondary, it's being taken for granted that his elbow is what caused the lung problem instead of the way Wallace fell, with his arm under him.

Just a hard foul. Wish we had a few guys willing to dish those out, given that we can not block shots. Would feel different if he had clearly pointed the elbow into him or threw an elbow at him, but as was it was just kind of a forearm shiver to get him out of the air. More unfortunate than anything.
