Jackson says he'll miss Sac and that Stromile didn't want to come here.

that woosh was the sound of your credibility just flying out the window.

Got to agree, was he watching the same T-Mac last season? T-Mac pretty much put the Rockets on his back, it was his surrounding players like Yao who choked.

Stromile didn't want to come to sac. I didn't want Stromile to come to sac so it's all gravy.

As for Bobby sad to see him go especially to Memphis. Memphis are pretty avg.
I'm suprised INdiana didn't make a move for him they could use a solid PG.

i don't like swift...yes hes strong and quick but as every "rich kid" often he plays out of his character and i'm sure he would not accept to be role player on this team....btw is there any young PF ch. oakley type of player?

Wow, some of u guys have the worst arguments ever.... Carter has never done anything in the playoffs? Hmmm.... My brain tells me that he went to the second round of the playoffs in '01.... How many 50 point games did he have in that 7 game series against the sixers? At least 2... 2nd round? That's farther than mcgrady... Wade is too young and is nothing without shaq and co? Hmmm.... My brain also tells me that he went to the second round of the playoffs against tha pacers and took them all the way to game 6..... Oh and I forgot, he was a ROOKIE and had no shaq and co.... Iversons had great players around him and had those teams fall apart? Uh ok... Sure buddy.... Mutumbo? I forgot he's arguably one of the best centers to ever dawn a sixers jersey... Ya right... Eric snow? Wasn't he a magic johnson type point guard... Ya right.... Oh but I forgot about mr 3 point shot, korver.... He's as good as reggie miller right? Com on', that was a weak argument on ur part.... Oh and I forgot that iverson played point in his philly days while snow was there.... Must have slipped my attention...

Mcgrady is just a "player" in this league... An above average player at most... And nothing more... I don't know why u guys are so fascinated about tmac anyways... Numbers are decieving.

Do you even watch NBA basketball?

I don't like McGrady as a player. His teams will never win anything. And if such a miracle ever happens it will be despite him. And I'm not sarcastic.

i guess u forgot about the 2 rebounds in critical late game moments when the ball went off mcgradys hands.

Those same hands did all this:
  • Finished the 02-03 campaign as the NBA scoring champion and averaged more than 30 points per game. He became the youngest player to average 30-plus points per game since the NBA/ABA merger in 1976-77 and the youngest since Bob McAdoo (34.5 ppg) back in 1974-75.
  • Voted a starter at the 2001 and 2003 NBA All-Star Games
  • Dished out a career-best 13 assists @ Philadelphia on March 17 and recorded a career-high six steals vs. Denver on March 15
  • Captured the NBA's Most Improved Player Award and was named to the All-NBA First Team in the 01-02 and 02-03 seasons
  • Tied a franchise playoff record with 42 points during Game #3 on 04/28/01 vs. Milwaukee
  • Recorded a rookie season-high 22 points and 8 rebounds against the New Jersey Nets on 2/13/98
  • Scored 9 points, in 10 minutes, in the Schick Rookie Game during the 1998 NBA All-Star Weekend in New York
  • Made his first career NBA start, totaling 13 points and 5 rebounds, against the Washington Wizards on 12/31/97
  • Made his NBA debut against the Miami Heat on 10/31/97
  • Named the USA Today Player of the Year and the North Carolina state Player of the Year by The Associated Press after his senior year at Mount Zion Christian Academy

Ok statman, answer this question for me.... Tmacs got all the numbers while reggie miller has the clutch performances... Who, out of the 2, would u rather build ur team around?

That play was a judgement call by the refs. The TNT said it should have been out of bounds on Finley because he step in from outside the side lines to poke away the ball.

Are you serious??? Can you be serious??? Pretty easy one. I would take McGrady and build around him over anyone else in the league. Period.

people gotta stop looking at stats all the time... this is not baseball or football where no matter how great u are, u "really" need a great "team" to win... in basketball, if youre that great then u should be able to win or go pretty far.

im talkin about total career.. plus how can u be serious to take mcgrady over anyone else in the league.. i pray to god u meant 2 guards and that would still be ridiculous.. how can u be serious to take him over Ai or kobe.. i hate kobe more than any other player, but i would still take him over tmac any day. PERIOD!!

At the time MJ was McGrady's age he'd never won a damn thing in the NBA either. Its a silly argument given the teams TMac's been on and his age. The next few years will tell the tale.

Well until 2 years ago did you think Garnett was a great player?

no, but at least he didnt stand around while giving up the ball to guys like sura and waiting for an open 3 to come along like tmac.

u wanna talk about credibility going out the window???? t mac should never be in the same sentence as MJ.. first of all, MJ went to the conference finals against detroit.. what the hell has tmac done?

It was a very simple example, but apparently not simple enough. If you're unable to keep up perhaps you shouldn't be engaging in these types of debates.

A player who just turned 26 two months ago, who has had a grand total of 1 perennially injured Grant Hill, and one young and overrated Yao to work with in his 5 years of elite play, and is now leading a team on the way up is only written off as a failure by somebody without any understanding whatsoever of the normal maturation process and prime of a player's career.

reggie miller flourished in the playoffs, when it COUNTED! not the regular season like ur "beloved" tmac.

McGrady................he is still in the league.

Reggie Miller=4 NBA Finals=4 Fingers without rings. Must have really flourished in those Finals.

4 finals? all i can remember is 1(even though that would go against my argument), but u gotta get ur stats right buddy.

my bad, i was reading a combined stat with him and malone. so yeah, 1 final, many playoff appearances, no ring. he was here for what, 15 years? give mcgrady time. and you did go against your own argument.

McGrady>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Miller
McGrady>>>LeBron (now)
McGrady<<<LeBron (future)

About Bobby Jackson. It's sad to see him go, and he will definately be missed, and I'm sure he'll be shown that with the Memphis games here in Sacto. I salute him as a true gentleman, and wish him the best of luck.

About Stormile Swift. If he didn't want to be here, he not wanted here. Simple as that. And we'll let him know that too in his games here in Sacto.

About ONEZERO's argument pertaining to Tracy McGracy. McGrady, considering the hype he's had, he's earned it. He's a tremendous player, and if I was suppose to look for progress next year (and only next year), I'll take him before Lebron James and Kobe Bryant. This is me judging him by his characther on the basketball court, his level in his game, and his knowledge, and all that he does from watching him. No stats, just him versus all the other 2 guards out there.
