Isaiah Thomas says Kings disrespected him

If he gets beat out, he'll respond like he always does - go out there and play his A$$ off, which is exactly what you want. Why would curiosity even enter into it? Has he moped, has he gone off on teamates, on coaches, when throughout his limited career, he's had to battle every year for a starting job? Hell no. So why would he do it now? I'll tell you what's going to happen, if you're curious - the Suns are going to have the best trio of guards in the NBA. That's what's going to happen.
Did the Washington Wizards, Los Angeles Clippers and Golden State Warriors fall off the face of the earth?

Mr Moreland, see that Player over there. Yes the little guy, keep your eye on him and don't let him score at the hoop. Oh and by the way Darren, lace em up really tight because IT is seriously disrespecting you in the media. Guys lets shut IT down when he visits Sactown!

The best thing would be actually to let him go berserk and freeze the rest of the team out

As I've said, he will come back, and he will absolutely light us up. Over the years people have accused many people of being liable to do that, but Kevin Martin never had that edge IT does. If he was actually as good as he thought he was, you'd love his killer instinct. But because he's not, him coming back and lighting us up may or may not elevate the Suns as a team, because everybody else is going to be spectating. There is an essential element of selfishness to his game, and there was from day 1. As I also said for years.

I'm taking the other side of the coin on this one. The guys still on the Kings (you know the ones who supposedly never reached out to IT or supported him?) will have every reason on earth to NOT let him light us up.

We have nobody that can stop a motivated IT. He is a top flight little man scorer when his dander is up. But its Iverson syndrome.

You may well be right. But the very thing that drives him could also bring him down. Ego, ego, ego. If he's too hyped, those pull-up jumpers will ricochet off the back of the rim. If that happens, he's just gonna get more hyped and could end up having a very bad game instead of a very good one. We'll just have to wait and see.

Of course he got disrespected. Dude plays his ass off for 3 years for us and all the team does is try to replace him at every turn then basically throw him all the way down on the totem pole as far as off-season priorities.

I wonder what happens to all the IT bashers and haters now without their favorite whipping boy? I'm guessing quite a few less posts since they can't comment on how big of a "midget, selfish, chucker" he is.

I'm more curious how you'll react to not being able to throw around the juvenile terms "haters" and "bashers".

It's truly mindboggling that you still don't understand the 2+ year argument.

And unfortunately, I don't think it's those who you believe to be haters who'll have much issue around here, but rather it's more likely those who are calling others "IT haters" and such will zero in on Collison and he'll become the new target.

Bullpoopoo. He was touted for rookie of the year, he was lauded as though he was the best player on the team, he was praised at every juncture by that same team that you and IT feel did him wrong. Pretty much everyone wanted to keep him - but not as a starter. And guess what? He's not gonna start in Phoenix either. WE GAVE HIM HIS START IN THE NBA, after every other team in the league passed on him...twice. Where's the gratitude for that? While he eventually commented on it, it was only after he was moved to Phoenix and even then it was only in response to a meatball question. I liked IT but I'm glad he's gone because of ridiculous claims that he was disrespected, hated, etc.

Disrespected BTW? That's for players on the playground who don't get picked until the last selection in a pick-up game. It's not for an NBA player who owes his very career to a team that gave him a chance so he could even get to the point he is today. And please, don't bother with the "someone else would have grabbed him eventually" argument. There's NO WAY to tell if that ever would have happened, and even if it had, there's no way to tell if he would have had the opportunity to showcase his talents the way he did here.

It's sour grapes plain and simple. I reiterate my comment made elsewhere - no matter where he goes, nothing is ever going to be good enough for IT. His mindset and his ego won't allow it to be good enough.

Basketball is a team sport. Do you not understand this? He didn't fit into the Kings vision so they let him go, it's as simple as that. They don't "owe" IT anything. In fact, IT should be grateful that the Kings selected him and gave him the chance to grow as an NBA player. He says he's grateful for this, but then he backtracks and talks about how much he was disrespected. The dude has a huge ego and needs to understand that it's not all about him. Instead of focusing on getting his and making sure every point guard on his team watches from the bench, he should have been asking himself, what can I do to make this team better? Especially as the point guard.

He doesn't get it, and from what I can tell, neither do you. You need to look past the box score and understand the problem with IT. It's really simple.

We get to see the "Selfish Midget Chucker" (Your words) 4 times a year "Kill" (IT's words) the Kings. Can't wait:)

If this "rumor" or "assumption" that his teammates did not enjoy playing with Thomas, don't you think our guys would get hyped up for the games we go against Thomas? I don't see this as a one way train.
