Is Rubio like Livingston?

G-League
I was reading threads and i came across a guy that compared rubio to shaun livingston. and the more i think about... rubio is shaun livingston! just 2 inches shorter. here's why...

both came in the league at 18
both was a great passer with a high iq
both had a wierd shot cuz they barely jump when they shot
both were considered the best pg in their respective drafts
both had "high ceilings"

tyreke is more liek stucky with a bigger body

both can penetrate
both willing passers
both not great shooters
both freakishly long

imo i think thats the best comparison for both players...watchu guys think?

Yeah I always thought Tyreke was like a Rodney Stuckey. Geoff Petrie has a nack for wanting guys who have killed the kings in past games...i.e Mikki Moore...well if you remember when we played Detroit, Stuckey went off for like 30+. So maybe they wanted a Stuckey-type player. Anyway, If Rubio turns out to be Shaun Livingston, I'd be perfectly fine with us choosing Tyreke :)

The reasons Livingston busted were injuries and a lack of work ethic. I think Rubio has a good chance to be what Livingston was supposed to be.

Ho hum... I'm so over this. I wanted Rubio REALLY REALLY BADLY, but even I'm tired of talking about him.

Go Tyreke.
Go Kings.

I agree... I've always thought of Evans as having a Dwyane Wade ceiling and a Rodney Stuckey floor. Evans has superstar potential imo but even if he never fulfills it he should at least be a capable NBA player. He should have been the 2nd pick in this draft imo... at #4 he was a steal.

He's already far more mature as a PG than Livingston was as well. Livingston was a good ball handler, but I don't think he was as good as Rubio is.

The only advantage Livingston had was that he was a little more athletic and a little taller than Rubio. He wasn't a bad mid-range shooter, but was a terrible 3 pt shooter. I don't know much about his work ethic, but injuries certainly played a major part of his failure up to this point.

Livingston was probably off the dribble shooter, while Rubio is probably the better set shooter. Well maybe it was the injuries that held him back, but he just never improved on the things he needed to (shooting, strength). Things would've turned out different if he went to college.

Good grief, people. GET OVER IT! Ricky Freaking Rubio is not a King; he's not going to be a King. Since this comparison is actually Rubio-Livingston, I'm moving this to the NBA forum...
