Really? In the 90's, I probably heard this one House of Pain song more than the grand sum of times I have heard any of the Nirvana songs.

I think my exposure to that song is limited to its use as "incidental" music at basketball games. In fact, I had to listen to the YouTube (beyond the intro, which is completely unknown to me) to verify that it was the song I thought it was.

You may use this information to attempt to identify other songs I am not likely to pick off your list!

For my next pick, I'm selecting a song that really got my attention the first time I heard it.

She Drives Me Crazy - Fine Young Cannibals - 80s

Sometimes I feel I've got to run away, I've got to get away
From the pain you drive into the heart of me
Time for me to pick (at least one) "quintessential" '80s song, and this one is probably the first that pops into my head when I think of '80s music (even if it is a cover) -- Soft Cell's Tainted Love (released 1981).

The video is kind of creepy. Enjoy!

Okay, With Slim timing out, I select one of my favorite hair-rock songs. In all seriousness, when I think of the late 80's and riding my bike to Circle K in the hot sun to play Rastan, Shinobi or Street Fighter II, this song comes to mind immediately.

Pour Some Sugar On Me by Def Leppard from 1987

Yeah, yeah, I got the PM and everything... It was sent after 10PM, my time, last night, and I didn't see it until after eleven. I came on to check the board one last time before I went to bed and saw that, and I said to myself, "Yeah, that's not happening."

So, there you go. I'll post my pick some time in the next thirty minutes or so. Probably.

And here it is:

WHIP IT - Devo (1980)

Lots of great stuff by Devo, but I always come back to this one. My best man and I had a cool little dance for this at my wedding, too. Fun times!

Ok, I got to grab my hair band song before it is gone. I am very glad this song is still here. This HAS to be part of my IPOD. I always wanted to marry Sebastian Bach when I was young! LOL

Skid Row- I Remember You (the 80's)

A true vocal stud monster from the era/genre!

Since Sackings7 has already indicated that he wishes to be skipped until his computer problems are resolved, Kingzrool is on the clock... I'm sending him a PM now.
