This is a belated thread as I only got internet service back at our condo 30 min ago and I got tired of going to the local coffee/internet shop.
I meet with Coachie at the end of last fridays game while waiting for my other interview, not with Donte Greene as he bugged out immediately after the game, but with Jason Thompson. As always Coachie is a short interview.

Interview with Coachie after Friday's game 7/17
KF: doing art w/KF website. In summer league this is the first time we've seen you out in this environment.
Coachie: I coached a summer league team when Kevin Martin was just coming in (rookie). I enjoyed that. Then when they hired Paul (Westphal) I didn't think he had picked his staff yet. I said "If you want I'll coach the team until you hire your staff." Then he hired his staff and I called him again and said "you've hired your staff so I'll back out of this (summer league coaching)." No he said, I want you to do it so that was that.
KF: Just watching you, you enjoy working with the Kids?
Coachie: Oh yes, what else is there? Any idiot can learn this game. The game ain't that hard. But when your dealing with people that makes a difference.
KF: It's looking like the 3 draftees are pretty good.
Coachie: Yeah. I'm really pleased with our choices.
KF: Are there any others (in summer league) that have a chance to be invited to training camp in the fall?
Coachie: They could. It's up to Jack. I don't know but I think we can do a little bit better.
KF: Thanks so much coachie. Good luck.
NOTE: I have no idea who is the "Jack" he refers to when asked about any others getting invited to training camp. Also Coachie is a notorious short interview and just kinda goes off to something else when he is done talking.
