Ime Udoka

Fundamentally sound basketball player with a lot of skills and very solid on D. I suppose being in San Antonio for a couple years had a lot to do with it. Ime Udoka is same age as now cut 32-year-old Desmond Mason but seems to play a lot younger and definitely more of an offensive threat.

He knows his role. A solid cog. WYSIWYG. 10th man who knows how to play team D. Not spectacular in any way but plays within his limits and WON'T hurt you.

His attitude is the most professional of all the kings, minus omri. I think that Thompson benefits the most from Udoka because he trusts Udoka more than any other king on defense. Ask a big man, "who would you rather have, a horrible defender and a great scorer or a better than decent defender and a below average scorer?" Any big man would rather have the defender because if he doesn't have to help off his man, it makes his job easier, and if means he can stay at home with his defender and not have to constantly help. It saves energy for JT on O and it simplifies D for him as well. Basically, Udoka is playing like he makes 5million a year, and if our record improves with him on the team, he will be offered as much in the offseason.

love the signing.
Played great perimeter d next too Evans and was one of the main reasons for our run. Great vet presence yesterday. He can teach alot to our kids.

Did exactly what we needed and what a vet in his position should do. Have a calm presence, hit the open jumper, not make mistakes, and have an impact on defense. I like what he brings to the table, and liked what he did in SA, but wasn't expecting him to fit in so well so soon.

One game does not a season make. But I was surprised how well he seemed to fit with the rest of the team. If he can continue to play like last night, he's a good pickup.. Maybe the worm has turned for Petrie. If so, strike while the iron is hot...:D

He didn't suck...

...and at this point, that's about all I could possibly expect. Anything more would be the little candle in the pink plastic holder on the icing on the cake.

And after you Suck in all the air. You then Blow away the competition...Heh heh heh. I amuse myself...:)

Start the Dos Equis a little early today, did we?

;)

Ehhhh, Its Corona mi lady... No demerits for the mistake though.. Disculpe, gotta go eat my Coctel de Camarron..:) Also, its not starting early, but merely a continuation of yesterdays celebration...:D

He's certainly a much better fit than D. Mason. He is what he is, a good defender and can spot shoot, perfect fit.

I don't think we would have won the Utah game without him. Played excellent D. When you have him and Evans in the backcourt you have some legitimate defense in the backcourt. I can't even remember when that existed with the Kings.
