Igoudala and Dalembert

I was a huge fan of Igoudala and Dalembert before tonight's game but after watching them tonight I am even a bigger fan. They have incredible chemistry and were strong defensively every trip down. Anyone else notice this? Both these guys are on the block and both satisfy needs by the Kings. Both will be expensive but the Kings do have the money to spend. Also let's admit that the FA class next year does not really effect the Kings too much. The quicker we realize that the town of Sacramento is not going to attract the top tier FAs the better this team will be. We would get our defensive Center we have been looking for and we get a swing guard that pretty much would replace as well as give more that we would lose in KMart. The Sixers have both these players on the block due to wanting salary flexibility for the big offseason FA market. They don't want to trade Igoudala but will only if they can trade Dalembert as well. They would get flexibility as well as get to keep a stud player to maintain a starting rotation. Any opinions??

Can't argue with your logic. Horribly good idea for the Sixers, Who can attract FA's. I think we could get it done, if they throw in Elton brand, and we throw in SAR + extra salary. That would really put the sixers on the spot!!! That kind of trade would make HUGE shockwaves for the sixer's future. LIKE 2 MAX LEVEL FA SHOCKWAVE

I have always been a huge fan of Samuel Dalembert and his potential and think given enough run he could dominate. He is the perfect fit for us. Shot blocker, rebounder, great FT% and doesn't shoot 3's.

His last 8 games (*averaging only 30 min per game)

I like the idea of Igoudala for Martin because he does it all and plays D but it's not going to happen. Im sure Petrie is going to do something sooner then later but not this, 76ers arent that desperate.

If Petrie could pull this deal off He would easily be GM of the year.
I don't think Philly is that desperate. If they are I think they are going to be a franchise in a tailspin.

The problem with Iggy is he's too much like Tyreke. He's mainly a strong slasher that plays good D. There is only so much room in the paint. You get Iggy and we have the same problem the 76ers have.. Lack of outside shooters which means teams can load up the paint and defend. I like Iggy, but he's not a great fit for this team...

We definitely wouldn't have a lack of outside shooters with Casspi, Beno, Cisco, Donte filling out those small man spots. But where the minutes would come from I have no idea.

After hearing those ****ty fans boo their team last night for not getting to 100, there is no way I'd be cool with us sending our boy Martin over there. They play unselfish basketball for 48 minutes, get the win, and you boo them over a free sandwich. Sixers are a few steps below Lakers fans in my book.. and thats saying alot.

That is very true but I still feel that we need to subtract at least one more (hopefully Noce and maybe Udoka) swing guy from our team before the situation gets any better.

There are problems, and my general stance is that we have enough little guys to trade Kevin for a big and barely skip a beat -- we don't need a little in return. But as I think about it, I have begun to warm to the idea.

If you tell me that you have a team with this 4 man rotation at the little man spots:

PG - Reke 20pts 5reb 5ast 1.5stl .5blk
SG - Iggy 18pts 7reb 6ast 2stl 1blk
SF - Omri
SG/SF - Donte

I see the shooting problem absolutely. But I also see a young group there that would be potentially dominant in every other aspect -- defensively, rebounding, physicality, size, plenty of assists...Then you send Reke and Donte, two extremely young players, home to shoot 1000 jumpers a day over the summer...I could wait for that.

Of course the frontcourt becomes JT/Spencer/Hawes, so you've completed that trio for the time being as well. Obviously you've got three expendable vet contracts to deal with in Beno, Cisco, and Noc and need to add a couple of cheap shooting roleplayers at backup PG and 4/3. But I can talk myself into that being a good team. Without a top dog in the frontcourt, not a title team. But a dangerous phsycial playoff team wiht just so many quality bodies to throw at the league's Kobe's and Wade's.
