I'm glad posting these teams created from historic Kings players has been found amusing. As long as the number of votes/responses holds steady I'll put up three new ones every day.

As always, the question remains: If we were about to head into training camp and THESE were your Kings this season, how many games do you think they would be able to win?

I'd move Woodson to the starting lineup at the two, EJ to the three, and sit noc down.

But as you have it laid out... oh man, Klein? Little story about Joe Klein. He came to my high school to do some kind of motivational speaking outreach thing. It was an assembly in the gym. One whole half of the stands of a typical high school gym were filled. He talks for a bit, then takes questions. I can't remember if it was me or someone else, but we asked him to dunk. The guy is 7 foot 1 inch tall, mind you. He refuses. We implore. He still refuses, saying dunking "takes a lot of energy". He may have had an injury, but he didn't say so. If that was the case I assume he just would have said "Sorry kids, doctors orders, can't do it, but next time I'm in a game, my first dunk is for you." Or something like that. But nothing. No dunk! As you can imagine, we were a little disappionted in the big time giant tall professional basketball player who came to the school that day. Brick didn't we go to the same HS? Rio. Do you remember this day?

Sorry Joe. You should have dunked for us.

But back to this "team".

Thorpe was without a doubt our best frontcourt player until Webb. Kenny Smith was the best guard we had until maybe Bibby. Eddie Johnson was a top flight shooter, and solid all around player. This team has some nice pieces. But that is the first time I've seen the name Devin Gray. Seriously who is that. Is that a real person?

The bench on this team is more "interesting" than the other teams so far. Yeah. I don't know. I think I'd have to say.. 30-34. But only because Kenny and Otis can pass back and forth to each other and run around their teammates for picks, and hit EJ for the jumper. And I'm being extremely generous, mostly because it does appear most of the good players have been drafted, and I've to to leave some room below them.

I'd give this team 30 to 35 wins. Probably the best starting lineup so far. I agree with Woodson, who was one of my favorite players on the original Kings, moving to the starting lineup. I'd put Woodson at SG and move Eddie J. to SF. That would give me Johnson and Nocioni as my first two players off the bench. I'm not a big fan of Lohaus, but I suspose he would do. This team is difinitely weak at center, but Thorpe helps. As bad as Kleine was, he was still a better overall player than Causwell... Sorry, I couldn't resist..

Causewell did take your baby. But Klein crushed my dreams.

At the time of the draft I was screaming for Malone. So you can easily see my disappointment with Kleine. Strangely enough, Causwell had a lot more raw talent than Kleine, but at least Kleine put out the effort. I thought Causwell put out the effort at first, but then resigned himself to what he was and just started mailing it in. I became friends with someone who will remain unnamed, that worked in the Kings organization. He told me that Causwell scored the lowest score in the history of the franchise in the hand/eye coordination test. Which explains a lot of his bad passing, dribbling and catching of the basketball.
