I have a feeling the kings are getting stucky and brooks next year

Were getting stucky and brooks. And drafting derrick williams

stucky will be our pg. Brooks will be our backup pg and then we have thornton for our backup sg.
Then we draft williams for the sf. Hes a 6'8 230.{ maybe another melo?}

good idea?
We do have the most cap in the nba so we are getting somebody

STUCKY
EVANS
WILLIAMS/GREENE
COUSINS/JT
DALLY?/WHITESIDE

Neither of those players make much sense for this team considering the money it will cost to sign them. Shelling out money on Stuckey doesn't make much sense for this team since his skillset duplicates a lot of what we already have and doesn't add any new dimensions. Brooks would have made sense at a certain point in time, but doesn't make much sense after the way Thornton played after his acquisition.

If the team is to shell out a decent bit of cash on a guard, they will use it on Thornton. I could possibly see Brooks as a fall-back option in the unlikely event they were unable to keep Thornton, but that is about it.

If Thornton is resigned (and i do hope that's more of a when, than an if), there's pretty much no chance in hell that the Kings get that caliber players for the backcourt. What we have now is working, no point in screwing it up. Getting a better third string PG than Pooh makes some sense, but getting a starter really doesn't.

brooks : No he's not worth it... he's a chucker, completely regressed from is MIP year.

Stucky: he's good, got youth... don't mind having him around with reke.... so yes on stuckey

if were going to pick,One's should be in our sights if Irving and D. Will are off the block. in my mind would have to be.. Vesely, Kanter, Fredette, Knight, walker.. trading down might be good if we can snag these guys....

we have two 2nd round picks we can use to fill the need. right now we are in need of Shooting.. rebounding is no longer an issue if we can re sign dally, and if whiteside comes along in his sophie year.

this team doesn't need a ball dominant player because Evans is relatively ineffective without the ball. we need a shooter(jr smith) an atheletic 4 (thaddeus young) and a backup center(sammy d). aaron brooks would be a steal, but that other dude is a smaller tyreke, why would we do that? to be effective during this fa period we need to focus on one player and offer him near max(young or smith)

All this team needs is time. I think the main focus is retaining Thornton and keeping an interior defensive presence (Dalembert?). Like ive said before, Ive got no problem with tossing Whiteside onto the court. This team is young enough and should have enough time to bring him up to speed.

Isn't there a rule here on kf.com that you aren't allowed to post if you've smoked crack within the last ten minutes? Could have sworn I got a warning from Slim on that once.

Anyway. I have just 17 words and a period for the OP.

Stucky over Thornton means you are smoking crack so stop smoking crack and come back to us.

Um, what a bizarre little notion. Rarely do you see a "fantasy" scenario that is so completely undesirable. Normally the fantasy scenario is pie in the sky guys we'd wish we could get, but have not shot at. Here the OP instead opts for a fantasy scenario of guys we fortunately aren't going to get, and nobody wants, while forgetting about guys we already have. Dream bigger young man.

I could see Brooks. If his stock has dropped enough to allow us to get him for a reasonable asking price and Petrie decided he would prefer a more veteran guard over a 20 year old, than maybe.

I just can't see how Stuckey fits our team at all. Ball dominant. Chucker. Not a great passer or outside shooter. I'm sorry, but he doesn't seem to make any sense.

God I hope not. Brooks represents everything I hate in a pg. Too small, sucks at defense, jacks up far too many shots, shoots a low %, doesn't create for others, horrible shot selection, and thinks he's twice as good as he is.

Pho put him right where he belongs. One the bench. Nash or no Nash, that's where he belongs. I'd much rather have the guy who took his spot in Hou, in Lowry, although he's not available. Hou got Dragic for him, who in turn came in and almost outplayed Lowry. Both Lowry and Dragic are better than Brooks, and neither is a top 10 pg.

Brooks would be horrible for this team. Only thing worse than aquiring Brooks is this thread. Well, almost.

we need sasha vujacic, luke walton and vladimir radmanovic.

If you wanna go the ex-Laker route (yes, I know Luke Walton is still on the team, but he hardly counts) than I have two words for you.....

... Adam Morrison!

As far as Stucky and Brooks... I hope the OPs feeling is wrong. Brooks is meh. Sparkplug type guy, but Beno is better as our 3rd guard. Stucky is a poor man's Reke. So lets just stick with Reke mmmmmkay?

I'm not quite as pessimistic about Brooks, but I already see Thronton as our longer term spark plug off the bench, so I don't think we have a need for Brooks.
