I read or heard Brad say he was going to try to fit into the offense and "not demand the ball". Sounded like he was saying "I'm not going to do what Webb did" which, if true, is good.

Man there ha been alot of counting the Bjax and BM chickens before they've hatched on this site.

(hell before they've even left their momma's butt)

I'm not counting on getting SQUAT from bjax this offseason. Even if he comes back 100% healthy (damn unlikely), he'll still be rusty, not in "game" shape and out of synch. If BJax comes back, I'll be happy if he simply isn't too much of an impediment for the first 10+ games he is back (a Looooooooong time in the playoffs)

Miller, on the other hand, has muh more of a chance to potentially be a help immediately. Given his incredible conditioning and athletic ability I can't imagine that 7-8 weeks on his toocas is going to slow down his above the rim game.

How the heck did you respond to this before I even thought I had posted it!!??!

Miller never "demands the ball".
Yeah, he doesn't. Sometimes when he have the ball and is open, he doesn't even shoot and instead gives it to someone else!? So I wasn't surprise when Brad said that "he'll fit the offense and doesn't demand the ball". I think Brad will help out more than Bobby. Bobby will probably be back, but don't be surprise if House gets more mins than him.

It is both a strength and a weakness of his

Exactly. I love his unselfishness, but there have been games where he is shooting better than anyone else on the floor and I find myself yelling "Shoot the ball Brad" when he continues to pass it out.

Shouldn't be the question is how they will help us in the Postseason which they will hopefully be back for and not the offseason which refers to the period between 2 seasons.

Haha... I figured using the "offseason" was sarcastic, meaning that we'll tank, be out in the first round, and Bobby and Miller will be useful as trade bait.

Maybe I'm reading too much into it

I didn't think Miller had an "above the rim game". Far too often he tries to do a layup that gets blocked instead of going for the dunk.

Yeah, of course he was taking an opportunity to make a jab at Webber.

I would LOVE to see Miller demand the ball once in a while. He gets way too tentative, at times, and passes away perfectly open looks.

There's nothing wrong with demanding the ball on occasion. I would much rather have someone demand the ball than shy away from it.

My answer isn't in the poll... I think Miller will be helpful, but BJax will not... IMO, we shouldn't even take Bjax in the playoff roster and take Eddie House instead.

Jose - I don't think House is in danger of being left off the roster. It will, most likely, be Erik Daniels and Kevin Martin who don't go into post-season.

Yeah, I think Brad totally hates Webber.

I don't think he was taking a jab at Webber for the sake of it, but with the criticism that Webb got after upsetting the Kings flow last season, he probably wanted to put it out there that he wasn't going to do the same.

Duh... for some reason, I was thinking the playoff roster is 10 players but it's really 12...

Why do you think Brad hates Webber? This is exactly the same stuff that went on with Peja were people like all of US just speculated for the sake of it.

I also think like you VF that EH will be on the roster. Especially over Daniels and Martin.

I'm very tempted to create a poll to determine the percentage of posters who hate polls....but my contempt for unnecessary threads won't let me.

If they hated polls then they wouldn't respond so wouldn't that be defeating the purpose?

I don't mind polls, it sports lists that get me, like "The top 10 left-handed American League 3rd Basemen of All Time" and crap like that.

I might jsut to show my contempt for polls. But perhaps we need a poll to see how many posters hate useless theads?

I tend to think that Miller will be more help than Bobby. Now, now.... before you jump on me - this is not because I have anything against Bobby - I just think he has been off for waaaaaaaaayyyyyyy too long. He will need some "getting used to".... he could not possibly go out there and be the Bobby that we know.... Brad on the other hand hasn't been out for as long, and I think he will be back to his old self fairly quickly.... I hope he does anyway, because i really think we will need him in the playoffs.
