im not very impressed from that pic. maybe we will have really cool shorts to make up for the jersey!? but let's keep in mind that that pic was off a videogame...let's wait until we see them on our players first.

I don't care what the shorts look like...I don't care what they look on a player...I don't care how many games we play in them...those are by far the WORST excuse for jerseys on the planet and I will not be buying one. Did they honestly think that Kings fans would be happy with us in Laker colors? Would Yankees fans wear Red Sox colors? Would you see Bears fans in green and yellow? NO WAY!

That's the response that will get the greatest attention. If people aren't willing to shell out the $$$, the jerseys won't last very long. Money talks. Look at the fiasco CocaCola went through when they decided to change the formula of Coke. Nobody bought the new stuff, and they went back to what sold.
We as fans may not be able to have much input into decisions about our team, but we can have a definite say in this. NOT spending our money on something will send a pretty loud message.

Hating something is easy and a cheap way out. Being objective and providing beneficial, helpful inputs is harder and requires consideration for players, marketing value, and fans alike.
Down here in SCruz everyone "hates" Bush and wants to "defeat" Bush. But no one is FOR anyone to do that. So all their "hate" is useless. If you are "for" something then you can be helpful or at least contribute ideas to make it better.
love_them_kings shows a pic above of a shirt that seems OK and a nice design but the dark color says it is an "away" jersey. All away jersey's now say "Sacramento" and home jersey's say Kings. Isn't that the way it should be?

Second, the best way to handle this is NOT to spend money on the jerseys. Emails won't do much good; they don't actually effect anything one way or the other.
If, on the other hand, people refuse to spend their money on these new jerseys and large numbers of them sit - UNPURCHASED - on the shelves, then the marketing people have to take notice.
Not spending your money is a language any business understands.

The problem I have with your comments, CruzDude, is that they imply that there was a need for an "alternate" jersey to begin with. You say that we should try to provide "helpful input," as if they "had" to have a third jersey in the first place. They didn't. So, in this circumstance, my "helpful input" would be to say, "don't give in to the marketing pressure to make alternative jerseys."

ive figured it out fellow kingsfans. apparently it was up to barney and phil jackson on deciding our colors for the new alternate jersey. feuding went on for days: purple gold purple gold purple gold, etc.... so they then decided to use both colors. how clever.

Putting this color scheme on a KING is like putting blue and white on a SF Giant. Don't the Maloofs know how much flack fans are gonna get for approving this? It's bad enough to keep hearing smack from Laker fans about past glories, but this just adds new ammo. The Maloofs talk of it being about THE FANS, but this was for LAKER fans. LOL!

I'm going to get mixed feelings when I watch a Kings game now if they wear those jerseys. Not that I dislike the colors, but after learning to hate the Lakers for a very long time, it's a habit for me to spite to those colors in mixture.
I can imagine it now... me booing to the Kings during one of their games (while their doing well), then thinking to myself, wait, what the heck am I doing? Where did that come from?

I don't think our new uniforms look anything like the Lakers. The Lakers may claim that they are purple and gold, but we all know that they are blue and yellow.
I did not like our latest purple road duds -- they looked too much like the Bucks and/or Monarchs. Our new uniforms, however, are unique, at least in the NBA arena. I really like the college programs that don the gold uniforms. Most notably, Wake Forest:

All this time being anxious for something I thought would be cool and look nice. And THIS is what we've been waiting for.. That just aint right..now WHY in the world would they make KINGS jerseys the same colors as LAKERS jerseys, and knowing we are rival teams, ARE/WERE..whatever!, doesn't matter. Everyone knows Kings fans can't stand purple and gold!! EW! Come on now. That's a no no
, but think of it this way if they dont sell and you happen to pick one up you may be able to sell it for a lot more later on.
