Hey Uhh Dirk Opted out....

An obvious no on Dirk. Why would this team of all teams want a 34 yr old PF?

The upcoming new CBA has everybody spooked. I hope I never see another offseason like this one. People say its "fun", but its really not to see all these franchise players pulling up stakes and heading out onto the open market. Dirk should retire a Mav. Pierce should retire a Celtic, in particular after they went out and sold the farm to bring him the guys he needed to get his ring. Having Cleveland and Toronto stripped of their superstars is a spectacularly bad precedent for us. And having packs of free agents holding clandestine meetings to decide who goes where and who wins the next title is just a spectacularly bad precedent for the league. Its just a mess.
Pretty much feel like this. Its not a pretty or encouraging sight.

I think in the future we may be able to convince a superstar to play for the Kings if we're on the verge of winning a championship. Until then this kind of thing is a pipe dream.

I see it differently.
Dirk had the same problem as Lebron in CLE-simply no team around him and no consistant second scorer.
This years playoffs proved again that when he needs to deliver he delivers but never receives enought support from his teammates.

Terry, Kidd, Butler, Marion etc. didnt show anything..
You cant win 1 on 5!

The Mavericks were LOADED! They were one of the top 3 most talent loaded teams in the NBA.

Thats the point but still they didnt deliver when it came to the playoffs.
If you win 50+ during the regular season but go home after the first round in the playoffs then something is wrong..
Look at the stats they dont lie.

Anyway I also dont think Dirk would suit us-we are a young team.
