Oh well! were closing in on No. 2.

If we always lose this way. I can always watch a kings game until this season ends. Its like saying "See? Were really a good team. We can compete with you but as of for this season were heading towards the top of the draft. So here's a win for you damn D-Wades!"

Could have been a win but Natt did NOT really exploit the mismatch we can have on Beasley's height until Spence hit those jumpers over him.

Oh well!

Mavs got trashed in Phoenix. They lost by 28 and it wasn't even that close. They will try to make that up. It will be difficult borderline impossible.

Magic are playing insane

The we go ti GSW which is winnable

We could beat the Bucks or Wizards at home couple games later.

I would rather beat a good team and lose to direct competition for the lottery.
Hopefully if Mavs do make it up, it won't be Celtic-ISH.

GS is very winnable. Of course, MIL and WAS are as well.

You have to expect the unexpected... I'm going to hold out for the win against the Mavericks, if only because the game won't be over by the time "24" premieres on another channel and I'll be forced to make a very difficult decision. I am so grateful for DVR!!!

Problem wasn't offense. Problem was STUPID decision (notice how i didn't put a plural) on defense. I was happy to see that Salmons didn't make a ridiculous decision on Offense to ruin our chances in this one, unfortunately he just did it on the defensive side. Even if a screen were to come, a guy would have had a chance to rotate and pick wade up...but by doing what he did he gave Wade the chance to blow by him with gale force speed, which he did. Im still happy to see development, and for once i feel like the team actually learned something. Hawes is THE go to guy in the clutch as for now...i dont care what anyone says...2/3 game decision shots in one game is good enough for me to give him that lable because its better than anyone else this season. I think a few of those close games could have been one if we actually considered giving the ball to Spencer instead of automatically thinking...JOHN "fail" SALMONS, BOBBY JACKSON, KEVIN MARTIN (he's good, but i can't call him clutch) A couple other things i want to talk about... Flagrant foul on Hawes....wow, thats all i have to say. He was clearly going for the ball and the refs knew that, until they figured out it was Wade going for the hoop then they decided to forget about RULES and just go with what makes money. Secondly, Salmons. For a little bit i thought he learned his lesson and he was making good decisions and not hogging the ball towards the end of the game...then he made "the look". Im convinced that even if he doesn't hog the ball and he plays great offense (which he did tonight, i give him credit) he is still a loser, and i mean that in the literal sense. When it comes to losing games, the dumb deciscions ALWAYS seem to come from Salmons, be it a stupid out of bounds baseline dribble, a ridiculous turnover, or looking away, twice, while guarding Dwayne Wade with 15 seconds left in the game. I like him, but he needs to be traded, he's playing better than he ever has, he is old, and he is not part of our future. We need value out of him.

Tonights game was case in point why retooling doesn't work. You need a superstar to compete in this league. Period. If the Kings have LeBron James, the Kings win, if the Kings have Dwayne Wade, the Kings win...Let's hope the losing leads to drafting a true star to complete this team. Without that star, no mater how many close games the Kings play, they will usually be trumped by the clutch superstar.

Thats why i kind of wanted to pursue Carmelo Anthony...he isn't a Lebron James but the guy can score as good as anyone. He is a superstar that could help us win, but not one i would feel like was the ONLY reason we one. As much as having Lebron James would be cool, something about winning as an underdog is SO much more fulfilling. I know everyone else will dissagree but i just don't like HAVING the best, i like beating the best.

Paragraphs are your friends.

;)

This was really hard to read and follow. You might want to break it up a little.

The reason its so much more fulfilling is because its so much more rare. I'd rather play to win thank you.

So why the heck did Martin drive, wave Hawes off, not pass to him wide open in the corner, but instead opt to drive into traffic for a ridiculously poor shot? That just ticked me off! I guess Martin didn't realize that Hawes was hitting everything he put up. I wonder what Coachie thought of that selfless play?

I don't know that we can realistically get a superstar... even if we have the money, why would one want to come here vs one of the larger markets?

We almost need a situation like C-Webb where the star's image needs some 'rehabilitation'. I'm not sure if even Carmelo fits in this category now although the thought of pursuing him had crossed my mind before...

If we show some success and can make a case for a solid foundation being here that might help make up for the small market feel and be a bit of a draw to a big name... otherwise, eh...

I'm inclined to think that the only chance we have of getting a superstar is if Chris Bosh or Danny Granger have a meltdown sometime between now and the 2009-10 trade deadline.

I think it would almost have to be Bosh. I don't think Indiana talks to us any more...under any circumstances.
