"Da** it Brickie! You're a laywer - not a doctor."
Bones McCoy.
Anybody who has gone through this and paid attention to the doctors knows more than anyone else on this forum.
Let's picture his joint as being very loose and in fact compare it to earlier this year when Tyreke rolled his ankle is such away that I thought we were in for a repeat of last year. Tyreke was examined and returned the next half. Now I am projecting the way I would react if I reinjured myself the way Hayes did a few days ago. The first reactions are fear of what happened 'cause your shoulder hurts and I am sure you start projecting your whole future all within a few seconds. That's where we last saw Hayes at the end of the game. Looked to be near tears. That was a reaction to having some pain from having his shoulder rattled around. Then he goes back into the locker room and finds that the pain is subsiding and maybe it really wasn't so bad just as when we saw Tyreke roll his ankle.
In other words, his shoulder may have rattled around in a loose socket yet not done any further damage. Then there is always the personality of Hayes. He's a warrior and although he must hurt, he will play. Remember I said my ancient memory drudged up the "fact" that injuries of this kind took 6 weeks to heal. Hayes tried to return after three weeks.
Now we know Brick is nuts to play tennis after such an injury but Hayes appparently has been through this before and knows what to expect. He didn't redislocate it.
I am tempted to do some reading but I have a feeling it will get me nowhere. I struck out on last year's dire predictions about Tyreke so have been humbled.

Oh, hell no!!! Who am I kidding?
I don't know about surgery. Nothing. Zip. Nada. The shoulder is complicated. There are ligaments pointing this way and that and then there is harder tissue that can be torn. I hope he doen't need surgery and can be taped with maybe another layer of tape. Heck, maybe with luck he can avoid geting spun around so abruptly. Yeah, sure. Imagine how loose that shoulder is.
At the least he should not take part in full contact practice. Whatta mess.
