I have only one question after this game. Is Casspi the rookie better than Peja when he was a rook or Hedo when he first came into NBA? Obviously, all three have their own unique talents. But I think Omri has more, maybe a lot more diversity to his game and lots more intensity - seemingly every second he's on the court.

Way to go Kings!!! - especially Kev, Beno, Hawes, Casspi...

Mason can get released for all I care. We have to go out and find a big guy somewhere. May/Brockman/Thomas isn't going to cut it.

Great effort, but I still have to find something to gripe about:

KT: 14:28
Brockness: 6:08

No excuse IMO for KT getting over double Brock's PT.

Who should we start calling a wuss next?
if we all post that evans isnt a pg maybe he'll get 10 assists next game. bibby wont be able to guard him.... but i think thompson is the new wuss of the team with all of those fouls. i think thats why hawes plays like a wuss. he doesnt want to foul anyone.

Will see whether May and Mason will start the next game. So far in 4 games - we trailed early because no team can compensate 3 on 5. Then we have to catch up.
thank you. you're right each game we fall in a hole until the bench comes in. May and Mason should not be starting. I can understand putting a new crew on the floor but not 3 new starters and 3 old starters sitting on the bench giving more production. Casspi is coming along. He may end up being the steal of this draft.

Kenny Thomas is going to be a huge part of this team. Not through trades, but through his all-star caliber play (assuming he can get on the court).

KT made some things happen, solid D and some rebounds. He was more productive than Brockman.

Im glad the coach went for the win rather than just feed pt to the rookies for the heck of it.

no excuse for them getting 20 min combined. We need another legit big man. I'd take SAR over either of them right now.

Its important to let all your players feel involved it creates a better team chemistry.......we are trying to create chemistry right? isnt that what the last great kings team had?

One of the best games i've seen Hawes play.
Casspi is a friggan beast. All rookie first team, he ready to start next game.
Kevin you were the leader tonight, you took this team on your shoulders and carryed us the whole way.
Beno you played AMAZING.
Props to Tyreke for trying to play on that ankle. I loved how he was looking for his teamates every time down the court. Played good defense to.

and finally.. ive hated on you since the start Westphal but you showed why you are our head coach tonight. beautiful rotations, timeouts, and critical plays. Congrats on your first win Coach.

LOVE THIS TEAM!!

i think that westphal should try starting beno at pg and bringing evans off the bench. if hawes can come off the bench and come up big so can evans... casspi has no problem doing it either. we should at least try it out. martin shouldnt play 52 minutes.... with garcia hurt we really dont have a back up sg.... greene and casspi arent sg's... the are sf's period...

evans might be better off taking it slow and coming off the bench at pg and sg instead of starting. with his ankle being sprained, maybe he should take it slow. he didnt play the entire 4th or ot... and we somehow won.... the world didnt come to an end with evans on the bench... if thabeet and flynn can come off the bench so can evans.

i dont know if it was because of the ankle but he wasnt helping us out there trying to run the offense... let beno and sergio show us that evans should be the starting pg.

Somebody must have given Hawes the message, because he played with passion and determination on the offensive and defensive ends of the court. GREAT game by Hawes! Casspi had a real good stint as well. Beno came in and filled in very nicely for 'Reke, who was obviously slowed by that ankle. All around a very satisfying victory! That's one down and 36 to go to make my prediction of 37 wins !!

Another thing was the coaching of Paul Westphal. Fantastic job coaching the game. Very professional. Called the time outs right when they needed them. The difference between this year and last is we would have lost this game last year due to poor coaching and morale. The team has a good chemistry starting to come together. Hawes and Casspi both pushing for a starting spot. Noche had a fine game. Everyone contributed to this victory! We have 48 hours to celebrate and then it's off to the next game! Nothing like home cookin to get everything just right!! GO KINGS !!

I'm starting to get sad that I cant watch Kings games down here in SoCal.

Checked the boxscore...Omri is turning into a beast, we need to come up with a badass nickname for him. Tyreke is a bust....

....Just kidding.

But to those that watched: did Reke seem to be a bit hobbled out there? I hope he's better by wednesday. I await a dominant game from him with bated breath.

Good to see Hawes is steppin up. This happened last season too..I swear he reads these boards and only plays to impress us here at Kingsfans :p

JT got steamrolled. We need to play the Warriors to get his confidence back up.
