Great Job Peja!

With only 2 free throws as well!
yah, but there were at least 3 shots of his that he got fouled on and the refs never even blew the damn whistle, and a few other times bowen was clawing and grabbing at his jersey and the refs, again, did not blow the whistle. same things were happening to mike. so much for david stern's institution of tighter foul calling.

great game for peja, tho! he was fantastic. i'm of a mind that the kings have a much greater chance of winning games when peja gets at least 18-20 shots a game. despite early season struggles, peja is a high percentage shooter. i came across a statistic somewhere at the end of last season that showed that peja scored more pts per shot than any other player in the nba. meaning, he was the most efficient shooter in the nba last season. high number of threes (attempted and made), high percentage, and high scoring totals, all on a very low number of shots. his scoring has gone down since webb returned, and i'm okay with that, just as long as he's getting enough shots a game to be efficient.

It was just 1 game. Peja still has a ways to go before he has the upperhand on Bowen.
Yea, it true, it was just 1 game....but I think it will help Peja when he goes up against him again (in a couple of weeks). You watch.....he will score in the 20's again. I was very impressed with him with not only the offense, but his overall game.

Major props, he was agressive on both ends of the court. Bowen was doing his usual holding, grabbing and pushing, but Peja laid it to him anyway. Good to see.:D

Sweet... Now this is the Peja I wanna see on a more consistent level... he did an awesome job. Two thumbs up!

Go Kings!

Oh, for the love of...

Somebody finally created a thread to credit Stojakovic having a good game, and now you're upset because everybody on the board doesn't post in it?

Slim, there's a world of difference between what I said and what you said. Perhaps you can help me by finding a link in archive ?

I'm taking liberties; every time a player other than Stojakovic has a good game, and someone starts a thread about it, you chime in to ask why no one ever makes a thread to praise Stojakovic. And now, there's a thread to praise Stojakovic, and you're still complaining. I don't find it unreasonable that you might continue to complain until everyone on the board steps forward to praise Stojakovic, and I find it equally not unreasonable that you're using VF21 as a scapegoat for that sentiment.

Always funny how one good game is needed to raise a player in the sky.

An all star had an all star performance receiving a lot of help from the team. That is all there is.

Usually when team is winnig I praise the team and when team is losing then I criticize players who are most responsible.

It was just one game, but as someone who has been critical of Peja, I must say that his game was strong. Hopefully Peja builds on this.

I think there have already been a few threads prasing Peja.

But really great game by Peja and the entire team as well. I think that this should be a prototype based on which we should try to play every game.
Great effort!!!

I agree. Great game by Peja. Maybe this will be his breakout game against Bowen like he had against Fox a couple years back.

Sloter- Congos. You have managed to turn a thread into yet another example of why we are all jaded and Peja should be praised. Maybe next time you complain about a thread not being posted and then after it finaly is posted, you could just enjoy it instead of turning it into your own personal soapbox? Thanks

Peja's a bit of an enigma... every once in a while he will have a game, or stretch of games, where he is just great in all aspects, then he'll go back to passive mode. In any case, he definately ate his Wheaties yesterday, and to have a breakout game against Bowen of all people has to boost his confidence. Peja plays at an All-Star level any time he's aggressive, hopefully he realizes that.

Oh, my God...

I am so sorry. I didn't realize the world was waiting for me to add MY applause to those of everyone else's. Mea culpa...

I hope I'm not too late. Someone please make sure they call Pedja and have him read this before he slits his wrists:

Pedja was awesome last night. He got rid of his demons, at least as far as Bowen is concerned. He played very well away from the ball. He didn't force his game, but he didn't sit back and just wait for it to come to him, either. He played a balanced game and was a definite part of a TEAM win.

And sloter? Just for the bleeping record?

Here's a quote from the FIRST page (post #25) of my PBP... You might want to do some research before you decide to attack me again.

So far - and I know it's early - the Kings are finding ways to get Pedja open at least once in a while. AND he's doing a great job of moving without the ball and, if nothing, else making Bowen dizzy by all the circling.

That was during the PBP. I was obviously impressed enough to make a pretty long statement.

You might want to try doing the PBP on a dial-up connection with 34.6kps and see how many comments you can get in.
