I actually think it was a big gamble and I think most agree and know within their heart that it was indeed a big gamble. Nobody can say now that it was a stupid gamble, because we won. But if the gamble resulted to a loss, some of us could have been asking for Malone's head on this thread.

In summary, it was an unconventional gamble that turned out to be brilliant - because we won the game and it gave our bench players some real nice experience they could carry on positively along the way.

But please, don't do it again Mr. Malone!:p

We need to secure all the WINS (especially this kind of winnable games) as early as possible!

I don't get the criticism of Landry in the grades, he has never been a leaper, he will stuff one on you but he has always been a power guy with amazing instincts around the basket. He has basically been out for nearly a season and a half. I think he is coming around slowly, barring any setbacks I think we will see him back 1oo% or as close to his old self, you can tell he still isn't in prime shape but I think by December he will be back fully fit.

IMHO we should not engage ourselves in so much trade talk and (negative) coach criticism so early in the season. The Kings are clearly on a new path and its a new team. The results so far look fantastic (and they truly are!). Let's give the team some 10-20 games to show what they are made of before we start to demand personel changes. The Kings have a really demanding schedule ahead. If they fight the way they have done so far, I'm certainly not dissapointed even if there are some losses. Just show that relentless fighting spirit and I'll support the team no matter what.

His ability to carve out position and finish is just unreal one thing I do notice about Carl when he doesn't want to be moved off a spot you literally no matter how much bigger/stronger the player is cannot move him, there were times were Blake/LMA and whoever tried to move him and he simply just could not push him off his spot, I mean he had McGee pinned underneath the rim easily on multiple occasions. He's got uncanny strength just does not always use it on D. If Cuz and Landry are in the game at the same time put Cuz with his passing skills at the high post and put Landry down low and we could get a Gasol to Z-Bo thing occurring.

A sports message board is all about trade talk and criticism. You just learn after a while to skip over the stuff you're not interested and read the rest. :)

Landry has actually always had good hops and been able to finish over the rim in traffic. He obviously has a lot more offensive game than just dunking, but watching him out there of late I have been reminded of old/fat Shawn Kemp wheeling around in the paint.

Just went to NBA.com and checked out all 13 of his made FG this year. I had forgotten that in the 1st game vs. GS he did get a 1 handed jam up over the rim. Not exactly with authority, but then again he didn't need it. Everything else though has been below the rim, and most of it right at the rim. I don't know if he's lost some hops or just isn't using them, but he's been playing closer to elevation Reggie Evans plays than the guy who used to do things like this:
