Yes! He wouldn't even be drafted in the 3rd round if it went that far.

This was a hard one to watch. A very winable game, that if I was watching from my spaceship in outer space, which is where I wished I was during the game at times, I'd think we were trying to throw the game on purpose. I've been with the Kings since they arrived, and in all those years, I never felt like I couldn't wait for the season to end. But I want this to end, and I never want to see Smarts face at a post game press conference again. He took a game that we were still in, and put in a player that hadn't played in a month. He played Cousins 9 minutes in the game, and no one but him knows why.
This is the same guy I believe that delagated Curry to the bench when he coached the Warriors. The man is an idiot!
Curry was benched in favor of the great Acie Law!
DMC was in a good mood because he knows this **** will be over soon. seven games left, the old regime is on the way out, and he becomes either the prized possession of new sacramento ownership, or he's moving on to greener pastures via trade...
So when either of those 2 scenarios happen will he magically become more mature and start controlling himself on and off the court? Just curious.

should cousins' behavior mature along with his talent, will you magically become less obnoxious? just curious...
edit: i haven't the faintest idea why both cousins' and evans' detractors so consistently use the word "magic," as if improvement and maturity occur overnight for young players with high ceilings. it takes time and favorable circumstances, the latter of which neither player has been privy to thus far in their respective careers. present them with favorable circumstances, allow time to run its course, and then lay on the snark if improvement and maturity prove elusive. but this impatient act is hardly flattering. some of you act like children who "want it now" and will throw a fit at every opportunity if you don't get it now...
Thats the spirit, keep up that positive attitude. Never let a moment go by thats a chance to take a shot at Cousins! Well done there! He needs you to mentor him..

Actually, I'd say Cousins behaved pretty darn maturely for being benched for no reason, wouldn't you say?
Do you really think that is was for no reason? I don't. I think he knows why but doesn't agree with it and si he thinks it is for no reason.

that interview was awesome. the players just laugh at Coach now
Smart may be idiotic with his subbing patterns but he's not going to bench Cousins for no reason. Based on DMC's history, how could you possibly think that was the case?
I also thought it was pretty classy of Smart to not tell the media why he was benched. Saved Cousins more embarrassment.

You're assuming DMC did something to get himself benched based on his past behavior problems. That's perfectly fine, but it's also just an assumption with no evidence proving that. You're choosing to believe that based on preconceived notions.
As far as Smart is concerned, I just disagree. I don't think it was "classy" or do I view him as a bigger person because he didn't give a reason. If there's a reason, he needs to explain why and what happened.
Are you referring to the beginning of the season or something more recent? It's funny how even Evans has now called out Smart's rotations, albeit in his usual conflict-avoiding manner.
Yep and the rest of the league laughs at our players and our awesome 27-49 record.
...@mr_jasonjones DeMarcus Cousins will start tomorrow

A little bit. I was just aggressive. Like I said, I’m gonna watch film tonight. But I made four or five plays (where) the guys didn’t just make the shot. I’m not too worried about what the stat sheet says because that’s half the battle, half of what the game consists of. I don’t try to worry about (if) I’m going to get 10 assists this game, 10 points this game or 30 points this game. I just try to play and make plays as I see what the defense gives (us).

Lol.Mavs postgame.
Think Tyreke's bit is at the end. Says that the rotations are frustrating, but that you just have to be ready to play and you can't blame it on the coach.
Also, Isaiah Thomas on whether his lack of assists were because of limited minutes for Marcus Thornton and DeMarcus Cousins:
So everyone, chill. Our starting future HOF PG made four or five plays where guys didn't make the shot. No reason to worry whatsoever.
Lol.
Q: When you looked around and saw some of the people around you were you a bit surprised to see them?
A: (laughs) a little bit.
Q: Are these rotations wearing on you?
A: A little but, a little frustrating, but everyone's frustrated and it's the NBA and when rotations don't go right, we gotta be pro's and he's our coach, so if he don't make the right subs you can't be mad, who just gotta work.
I hadn't seen that. Nor did I previously see Smart try to explain the Outlaw/JJ combo, which was a flat out stupid response. I mean, he can't figure out a better way to defend VC and Dirk pick & rolls than to call on those two? He only said it's been killing us every time we saw them this year yet he found no better solution than throwing those two out there?
You can tell there's little respect for this coach. Also clear IT has a me first attitude.

Guys is there any chance you can put the final score on the opening post? this thread is the first thing i look to when looking for the kings gam reaction and i always have to go look elsewhere for the actuall score... Cheers![]()
In the first post is a link to the boxscore, if that helps. Brick may or may not have a reason to put the score in directly, I don't know.
So it's okay for 100's of posters in here to rip Keith Smart every single day, but I can't ask a simple question about what will happen to Cuz once we get a decent coach? Sounds pretty hypocritical to me.
I'd say "no reason" is an assumption, and a pretty way-out assumption. Side with either one as you wish, but I disagree that Smart owes us, the fans, any explanation at all. The coach is doing his job, and you and I will never really know the background and facts.People are going to believe what they want to believe, based on pre-conceived notions, opinions and reasoning.
Until Smart comes out and gives an explanation, then the only logical reaction is to believe that it was for no reason.
Believing otherwise is nothing but an assumption.
