Our ball movement is even better when Marco is on the court. He really moves the ball and is a very good passer.

Darren Collison is one of the best contracts in the league and is probably the best backup PG also.

You probably gotta see Towns play before you say that. :)

Nonetheless, WCS is going to be a good rook. You could see it in summer league, some have been talking about it for years.

This looks like a really strong rookie class actually. In fact the Lakers may have drafted the only bust in the top 10.

I said before the draft that Towns will be the best player in this draft and I have no reason to change my mind yet. Russell will be fine. He's a PG in a new theater on a team with a lot of very young players. It will take him a while, but I think they made a good decision in drafting him. But time will tell.. Your right about the draft. The draft after the next draft is shaping up to be a similar draft.

I'm going to disagree on the decision to take Russell instead of Okafor. It's really hard to get a potential all-star center and I think Okafor could develop into that. I don't think Russell is going to be an all-star type guard and his play in SL and in the early part of his career is a cause for concern. And I get small sample size but Okafor should have been the pick.

Stats: 28min 21pts (5-15, 0-2, 11-14) 11reb 3ast 0stl 2blk 0TO
Summary: put up 21-11 in only 28min while bullyboucing the smaller Lakers
Cousins ( A- ) -- What a game. Cousins had a great first half, despite not shooting particularly well. He managed to get Hibbert in foul trouble within the first five minutes of the game, which cleared the board for the Kings' bigs to completely dominate the 6'8" Bass, 6'8" Randle and 6'9" Tarik Black. The most important point is that Cousins was playing under control and not forcing the issue. He was drawing fouls throughout the game, and scored 11 of his 21 from the free throw line. Defensively, Cousins almost had the night off, partially due to the general incompetence of the Lakers front line, but largely due to the effectiveness of WCS and Koufos as primary defensive stoppers when they were in the game. With a little better shooting, this would have been an A+ game for Cousins. As it is, he still had a great game without needing to do everything for the team to win. --Hadlowe

The play of the night for me was when Kobe and DMC hit the floor in a scrum for the loose ball. Although it should have been a Kings time out (the official didn't see DMC signal), the resulting jump ball and total dominance by DMC on said jump made me truly laugh out loud. :)

For as much as I like Rajon (he's the reason for you to host me, an annoying, misplaced Celtics fan, here on your forum..), I see Darren as a terrific and versatile option that can both lead the second unit or play side by side with R9. Their tandem game in the 4th quarter @clips was just awesome.
