"Pistons fall to Kings
Detroit loses on last-second shot
AUBURN HILLS (AP) -- Peja Stojakovic's jumper with 0.4 seconds left lifted the Sacramento Kings to a 96-94 win over the Detroit Pistons on Wednesday night.
Stojakovic connected from the right wing after Vlade Divac dropped him a pass for his 11th assist. Detroit's Bob Sura missed a 30-plus foot shot at the buzzer."
see you folks have never ever pick a basketball up to play yourself personally.I don't mean literally force the ball to him I mean force the ball to were you find a way by playing will power to get the ball to your go to guy who is hot.See if you have ever really played you would know what Iam saying.Kingsgurl said:The last thing you want to do is 'force' the ball to someone who is covered, especially when you have an easier, more high percentage shot somewhere else. How many times has Bibby WON the game on that play? How many times has Peja hit the shot to win the game, or send it to overtime? I can remember him doing it three times, all in one game.....against Toronto in, what, 99? 2000? Been a while.
vj9999 said:I agree with you, but I can remember 2 more timesHe had a killer 4tt against TPups last year in playoffs to send the game to OT and he hit a long 2 against Detroit for a win after a nice fake pass from Vlade.

Pete carrill has been a educator of the game for years. He's a part of the blood and sweat of the game.If you ever coached ort played you would know what Iam sayingBricklayer said:Zulu, stow your "pick up the ball" crap. Its really kind of sad and more than a little irrelevant. I'm sure the glorious basketball playing history of Pete Carril is what makes him such a coaching legend too.
Brick layer pete carril actually played the game in high school and college earning all america in both.http://www.hoophall.com/halloffamers/Carril.htmBricklayer said:Zulu, stow your "pick up the ball" crap. Bibby may have that Big game mentality but if you say peja doesn't have it you might as well include his TWIN WEBBER.Both players mayn eed the shrinks you just suggested.Vlad said:Against Detroit last year to win it (96-94). Also against Minnesota in the playoffs to tie it.
But, you are right, Peja is not a big game/big play guy. He doesn't have that mentality (that webb and bibby do). Kings should hire a psychologist to work with him on that and on being less afraid to get hurt.

starks said:Old story. This is Webber’s team and he will decide what they will play in the clutch time. In that situation Peja is an option number 3. It does not matter if is Peja 13/20 or 20/20, he will not get the ball in clutch time, period. Webber is 6/22 or 0/44 and he’ll take that shoot because he is the boss. If is Peja okay with this, I’m fine too.
Vlad said:Why doesn't Rick tell Bibby and Webb to stop the masonry on nights like this? Or at least draw up some more plays for Peja... Damn.
shaka zulu said:Bibby is the point guard he has the Ball down the stretch.Peja scored 10 points in 2 minutes. a 3 ball a steal and a layup another 3 and a couple foul shots.Toward the last 2 minutes Bibby the point guard elects to go pick and roll with a cold off at that time WEBBER who barley entered the game. When webber was on the bench before that run to take the lead Bibby found and made it for peja to have the ball by isolating him against his defender or peja coming off the screens. They clearly went away from this the last 2 minutes of regulation and the 5 minutes of OT by going 2 man pick an roll Bibby and Webber.

slugking50 said:What they both said!
I was busy during the game so I didnt get a chance to pay too much attention to the game. In the latter half of the game was it Peja not moving enough or was it the other 4 players on the floor not looking for Peja enough? Or a combination of both?
HndsmCelt said:Thruth of the matter is that most teams over gaurd Pedja (Webbas well) espcially when he gest hot, which means in tight situation for him to force a shot means ignoring the open man. On at least 3 major palys tonight the Kings capitalized on the attnetion Pedja drew when Miller faked the pass, when Webb faked the pass and when Pedja passed out of the converging hornets to find Bibby fo the last second three to tie the game. Down the streach it is VERY likely that with good fluid offense, passing the ball and looking for the open shot that Pedja will not get the ball. BUT never under estimate what his presence onthe court does for the offense by drawing the double teams there by creating and opeing for some one else. So pleas kids relax on the Pedaj is bein ignored or Pedaj should get the ball crap. The Kings put 5 scoring threats on the floor at all times... I wnat the open guy to shoot regardless of the name on the back of the jersey.
