Kings Faithful I totally can relate. Screwed up thing for me? I JUST switched 5 months ago to Dishnet because Comcast was getting outrageous. Thought I was getting screwed then???? Called to disconnect my friken Dishnet but found out a $385 early termination fee.....screwed again! Heard we could sometimes catch it on 419, called talked to them forever and they said yep, but that was BS never have seen a game yet! My fianace texted me a big woot woot and I called and he was screaming his a$$ off! Caught the final replay on news but just not the same. Like you I am so effin pissed off.

I'm very happy for this team. They've continued to battle despite losing one heart breaker after another. This team has a lot of fight in them. After tonight, maybe they can relax a little more in the upcoming games. They already look taller. Not having that 300 lb gorilla on their back does wonders.

What's funny is the one time he started to lose his composure, it almost ended up costing them their last possession. I'm glad he remembered he still had to get the ball inbounds
I wouldn't say Thabeet has a long way to go, necessarily. He appears to be firmly on that path, and if anything he's got a long way to go to prove himself much less of a mistake than Darko - and a lot of that may have to do with other players taken later not panning out (I don't have much hope for Thabeet improving). Anyway, the original poster said "one of the worst" not "the worst", and we may be only 2 years away from being able to count Thabeet as one of the former.

Incredible shot by Tyreke. Can't forget the efforts by DMC and Beno as well.
BTW, did anyone notice OJ Mayo took 4 steps after 1 dribble when he hit that fadeaway to take the lead??? The ref was right there and didn't call anything.

This was the first time the Kings have had 3 or more players score 20+ since March. Good game from Beno to keep things going--I can't believe the emotion we saw from him (thinking of a drive for the +1). Great game from DeMarcus. He still has a ways to go, but you can see him learning as the season goes on. Coach actually went to him late, and it actually worked!
He and Tyreke combined to score the Kings last 11 points. Was looking a little rocky in the second half as Tyreke was quiet for much of the start of it, but he played smart and effective and downright lucky when we needed it. Also not to overlooked were the contributions of Omri and Cisco. And how about Donte knowing that the ball was going in!

Not to toot my own horn, which I guess I'm doing, but I was one of those that said that Thabeet was not ready for the big time. Don't know if he ever will be. I think he's a good kid with no clue at the moment. I wish him well, but I'm glad Memphis took him at number 2 when the obvious choice for a lot of reasons should have been Tyreke.

When you, and myself included think that Cousins, after scoring 21 pts and grabbing 16 rebounds has a long way to go, I would say that the future is bright. This team in general has a long way to go. Remember that out of the ashes rose the phoenix. The eternal spirit that never dies. Perhaps this is the spark that will breathe life into the dormant spirit of the Kings.

There was that, and Rasheed Wallace banked one off a steal (again about the same distance) also for a tie. Harris' winner was definitely a few feet shorter, and Dr. J's from an '85-'86 game looked to be about the same distance or a bit shorter.
This was being discussed on BDL and nobody seems to have come up with a game-winner that was definitively deeper. Not to say there hasn't been one, though.

I remember that. I was squarely in your anti-Thabeet corner. And I agree, I have little hope for him. Other than looking lost, he just doesn't seem very passionate about the game. I've never seen or heard anything about him on or off the court that shows me he has that competitive fire it takes to be successful in the NBA.

Greene ( INC ) -- in ahead of Casspi to defend Gay, did not get much done in his 3:16 audition and next was seen displaying either incredible enthusiasm/confidence, or psychic abilities, on Tyreke's buzzer beater as Donte was hopping on court in excitement almsot as soon as it left Reke's hand.
He actually did this one there time either early this year or last year. He threw an out of bounds pass to JT for the slam. Not quite the same but he celebrated before JT slammed it home.

Yea, given that the NBA has seen more games than European basketball, and has more players capable of making these shots, I doubt it's the longest one in history. I've seen quite a few of those in European basketball. Here's one example:

This was the most unbeliavable final of any basketball game ever! Partizan player throw the ball from free throw line on their side with 0,6 seconds left on the clock in the overtime. It was the final of adriatic league (teams from ex Yugoslavia).

Cut Omri some slack he's preety solid in halfcourt shots 3/4s are hard to master that shot was absolutly sick cause he almost didn't look at the basket, and his hand was fully extended aswell.. the guy who shot it was one of the best shooters in europe in the mid 80's early 90's.

How does Tyreke not get an A?
Because the grades aren't just based on the last 2 minutes of the game? If Pooh Jeter hit that shot instead would you give him an A?

At this juncture of the season, a win is a win! I'll take any wins we can get, as long as our young players keep getting experience and Cousins continues to improve. Cousins is going to be a very good center in this league. How good he will be will be determined by Marcus, not the people around him. If he can get his head on straight, the kid has all the other tools to succeed. He is very hard to root out of the paint, and he has a decent outside shot already. He has soft hands like a big man we used to have on this team. He wore #4 I believe.
Brick has said in the past that his grades are largely based on what is expected of that player, relative to his skill level. 21/4/4 is a good game for Udrih, it's a career game for Jeter; it's a 'feh' game for Evans, game-winner notwithstanding. He's our best player, and more is expected of him.

I was very glad Brick didn't give him an A.
He realizes that there's a lot more to the game than a highlights reel, or the last shots.
I was surprised Tyreke was only credited with 3 TO's.
I'm pretty sure he had at least 4, probably 5.
I think Pooh was quite ineffective and didn't deserve that high of grade.
Omri was MUCH better, and got the same grade.
Solid grades other than that.
