grant's and jerry's constant verbal diarrhea regarding isaiah thomas has sprinted well past the realm of fixation and arrived squarely at the altar of pathology. to mix sports metaphors a bit, i'm reminded of a scene in forrest gump when he's playing for the high school football team, and runs past the end zone after scoring a touch down. it was good for a laugh the first time, but grant and jerry continue to sprint past the end zone every single game, and they no longer even have the ball in their hands. isaiah thomas is a quality scorer and the kind of high energy spark plug that a lot of teams would surely value, but he's no savior. he's no star. he's not even a starter, in my mind...

more to the point, the kings are losing. they've been losing. they're continuing to lose. now, i know there's a tendency for a fanbase to inflate their sense of a team's progress in spite of what the win/loss column says, but the kings remain in last place in the western conference. last place!! they're not even close to shouting distance of the playoffs. the tenth seed can't be bothered to decipher those echoes from so far away, much less the eighth seed. more work must be done to improve this roster, particularly on the defensive end. in order to make room for that side of the ball, subtractions will need to occur in addition to any players the kings may acquire. in my opinon, isaiah thomas either needs to be subtracted from the starting lineup and returned to the bench, or traded altogether...

I watch most games, but rarely hear him vouch for IT to make the AS game. Maybe he compated IT to Conley in terms of scoring ability?

I'm not aware of Grant or Jerry calling IT a star. If they haven't, perhaps this forum is perpetuating the myth.

I watch most games, but rarely hear him vouch for IT to make the AS game. Maybe he compated IT to Conley in terms of scoring ability?

Specifically, he was referring to the assist numbers of Conley vs our pg. His point, as flawed as it is, was that our guy gets nearly the same assist numbers as Conley, and people view Conley as a near all star, so clearly our pg is passing enough. So you idiots out there that think he doesn't pass enough don't know what you're taking about.

On a tangential note:

As I was watching the Olympic opening ceremonies and they started talking about propaganda films that the govt would send on trains to show the villagers in communist Russia, I started relating this to our pg. Are Pizza Guys such a key sponsor that it's just propaganda at this point? Do they have to say he's great as part of their jobs? Because a lot of the poor arguments you hear on this site about our pg started on the broadcasts.

Yes, I just compared Pizza Guys to communist russia. Watch a game sometime and tell me that's not a cult. Are you a pizza guy? C'mon, join pizza guys, be a pizza guy, be part of the cool kids? I'm telling you, it's a front for something. Cause that pizza is terrible, yet on the commercial everyone wants to be a pizza guy. Is our pg the leader of the cult? What's in that pizza? If supreme leader delivers your pizza, do you get a place in the cult? Is that why those girls are so excited in the commercial?
