I knew this was coming. Cousins is a better offensive player (well not statistically as the major difference is he takes more shots) but there are equal number of offensive and defensive possessions in a game and Noah is clearly a much much better defender.
Now I want to be clear here. Cousins can do things on the offensive end that Noah can't do. He shoots better, is stronger, has better footwork and a much better touch around the basket but I think the 2.3 more assists and the 1.3 less turnovers help his team on that end too and help close some of the gap offensively.
The other this is that Noah is clearly the team leader and has rallied a squad that isn't really better than what the Kings put on the floor to the 4th in the eastern conference with an outside chance of 50 wins. I realize that the Eastern Conference isn't as good as the Western Conference but the Bulls are a much better team than the Kings.
Simply put if you switched Noah and Demarcus I think the Kings would better and the Bulls would be worse.

As an aside, Noah is playing quite well, but he's not that team's MVP. Thibodeau is.
