Said its "unlikely" to make any roster changes this season that are not salary cap neutral until the CBA is resolved. So there you have it. The Personal Moves section takes another hard hit lol.

Not really anything new that people who understand the situation didn't already know.

I know this is nothing new to you guys but this is the first time I've listened to Grant's radio show and OMFG WHAT A ****ING DOUCHEBAG! Calling people morons on the air and then hanging up on them so they can't say anything back? That's the most cowardly, idiotic thing that a media person can do. Oh, and saying that Westphal has nothing to do with the way the Kings have been playing? Yea, I guess it takes a moron to know one...

Haha....I love it when people complain about Grant. It's like complaining about having to pay taxes....

Yes.

For any of you who are out of the area and haven't heard Grant, I do NOT recommend listening to him online. It's just time gone out of your life, which you'll never get back.

I...don't see the correlation.

You HAVE to pay taxes. You DON'T have to listen to Grant.

Both are just annoying things in life you'd prefer to not deal with. And if you're a Kings fan, you learn to deal with Grant, similar to how a normal person learns to deal with taxes.

What the hell? I didn't know Grant is like that on his radio show. Why is he calling people morons (lol) ? I mean, radio callers can be very idiotic or stupid but radio hosts should always be polite, well, that' what I think anyway - unless things are really getting personal.

There are a number of full out agenda ridden kings haters that call that show on occasion... and then there's the pigheaded opinion stiffs that have no idea what they are talking about..... I love when Grant tears them up. There's no reason to be so milktoast. Many people, like me, really enjoy Grants show.

He's from New York guys.... calling people morons IS his way of being polite...

I agree, but dude hasn't lived in his hometown NYC for over half his life and been in Sac for 23yrs. Most people I know who moved to Calif from elsewhere and lived out here that long mellow out at least a bit. Maybe some are copping a laid back attitude to go along to get along - smart - but not Napear. My experience in NYC back years ago was that virtually everyone I met was a total jerk like him but more recently (especially since 911 attack) even infamous NYC taxi drivers seem amazingly polite and helpful. Of course, nowadays even the cabbies are all from India or Pakistan it seems, although when I'm back there I usually call my fave who is originally from Ethiopia - a wonderful prince of a guy. "Wonderful, prince of a guy," - the exact opposite of arrogant coward Napear!

So, are you implying that a Kings fan isn't a normal person?? LOL

i actually support not making any big roster changes that could lead to more wins at this point as it would possibly lead to them picking in that no man's land between 6-12 rather than top 4. This season could turn out to be a blessing in disguise if it leads to another top pick. Going into next season with another top 5 pick and boatloads of capspace puts The Kings in better position for the future than almost any team in the league, despite how bleak things may be right now.

Grants not that bad. I'm in ny right now for the holidays, and his personality is completely normal over here. He also gets a lot of stupid callers every day. I don't always agree with him, but I too would get pretty fustrated having to talk to some of the callers he has to deal with.

Grants a prick. Funny at times, but a prick. Typical NY'er, and I deal with them everyday in my job.

totally agree. the new cba will be in place and the management will know what they can do with the capspace and team.

i listened to grant's show the other day. a caller called and asked about being mathematically eliminated from the playoffs. lol seriously, worrying about the playoffs when we are struggling to win a game or two. grant didn't call him and idiot surprisingly.

As tough as it might be right now, I agree. Youth is killing us at the moment, but add in a couple of very good veteran players, and then let the youth develop, and you might be looking at a championship contender in a couple of years. It also takes some luck. No injuries, right chemistry, and most of the young players turn out close to what you expected. And if you get real lucky, one of the lesser players turns out to be a star or close to it. Other than that, piece of cake...

Having grown up in St. Louis, and also having listened to a lot of sports talk out of Chicago, I would say that Grant is fairly reppresentive of the typical east coast sports talk announcer. Remember this is the guy that grew up with Madd Dog Russo and that group. So I'm not surprised by him, and for the most part he's intertaining. On a personal level, I'm not a big fan of Grant, but thats another story. But professionally, I like him. He sticks to sports which is what I tune in for, and he's not telling me about his night at the community center watching Phantom of the opera.

Which is what I didn't really like about Koz when he was on the air. Spent most of the show discussing other stuff instead of sports.

Personally, I find Grant to be abrasive but end up agreeing with him a good 70% of the time.

What did Cousins' agent have to say?

Not much, since Grant allocated only 6 mins for him and then had to cut it even shorter to go onto something else. He offered to have him back with more time later. The agent and Grant agreed to disagree over statement that he made after Cousins choke sign blowup that it was no big deal and did not affect game. Grant pressed him of why it was no big deal since it was unprofessional and may have affected outcome of the game. The dude is a lawyer and apparently a former B-Ball player at some level but seemed to think his client walks on water - or at least is somehow being unfairly single out. Grant agreed Boogie is under the microscope but too often has brought negative attention to himself out of immaturity. The agent seemingly needed reminding that Cousins is a 20 year old NBA rookie who is occsionally asked to carry other Kings players bags.

I often don't like Grant on the air, but if you hate him, it means you listen enough to hate him. In our society, its sensationalism, uproar, controversy and strong emotions raised (positive or negative) that garner ratings. Some nice, polite personality wouldn't last as long as a snowball in hell. That's what I don't like about much of the media, but you have to blame it on the majority of people who eat it up and keep ratings high.

it is clearly part of his shtick. Never heard him on the radio, but he's a relatively impartial announcer for the TV games. He clearly knows how to use his personalities to his professional advantage
