Go to kcra.com and vote

Obviously, no scientific merit to this poll. Says more about KCRA's audience than anything else. That or some douche with an agenda will find some way to get as many No votes tallied as possible.

I couldn't find it. If it has anything to do with saving the Kings, it is short sighted and is part of the reason this has been such a struggle. Perhaps "Save Sacramento from being a second rate town" is more like it. This involves more than the Kings.

"Yes" in favor of Kings now up to 42 percent. It's one of those polls where you can vote numerous time by refreshing the page. I'm sure some of the old geezers who hate the NBA are giving the Kings the Thumbs Down. Man, this crap is depressing. Sacramento will be known as the Homeless Capital of the World once the Kings split. This can't be happening.

Go to KCRA.com, the poll is bottom far left. Lots of pro-Kings votes in the last half hour. Kings fans now have 44 percent. You can vote numerous times. Just vote, back button, refresh vote page and you're good to go again - just like Chicago-style voting. 10 votes or so from each fan should give us a strong showing.

Kings have rallied from only 39 percent support to 48 percent! Fans are rallying to vote on KCRA.com. Big swing in the last two hours. If you haven't voted, do so!

I bet most of the no votes are people who just don't care about sports or the NBA period. As fans, i think we get so passionate sometimes that we forget that many people just couldn't care less about sports. I used to be like that at one time myself so i can understand that mindset well.

I think the poll is ill concieved and not useful. It perpetuates the myth that this is all about the Kings. Really, it's all about Sacramento. The idea that the Kings are the center of the poll may draw the most attention but that cuts both ways: it will draw fans and it will draw the people who see another bailout for the rich.

ANother poll opn the right sidfe of this story:

More nuanced/better.

Dumb responces, though. I'd like to see a similar poll done in another city like where I'm from, the Twin Cities, which once had two pro hockey teams (two different arenas, an ABA team, a football team and a baseball team ALL requiring their own arenas and all at the same time. The ABA folded and they got an NBA team. Sounds simple. They eventually lost their originall hockey teams but got another.

It may have a lot to do with private signage fees as there are many big companies in the area like Daytons (Target), 3M, Pillsbury, General Mills, etc. There is nothing like that here.

Minny is probably not a good comparison. Quite nearly lost the T-Wolves to New Orleans in 1993 and currently the subject of a lot of relo talks involving the Vikes. Twins survived by the skin of their teeth, and we know about the history of the NHL there. Not trying to knock your town at all. If I were to make any complaints about it, I'd just say it is too cold there. ;) I suspect that market is over-saturated, however.

The four major sports are in the Twin Cities. If you can knock that, I am speechless. They have found solutions, haven't they? Where there is a will, there is a way. I suspect the concept of "will" is the major difference between the Twin Cities and Sacramento.

To their credit, they have definitely found a way. That is huge and I am not taking anything away from them. But that market has had some real close calls. You know what this does for you? It makes you well verse in dealing with these issues, which is a good thing. My hometown market has had some close calls as well, so I know the drill.
