Thomas ( D- ) -- was little factor as it was mostly Reke and Cousins early while we were still playing, but did manage to poke a ball away from behind on JKidd when they tried to post him up, and got an early off the ball hoop cutting through the lane and surprising the Knicks as Reke hit him for the layup. Then it all turned to crap. There was a long stretch of doing nothing until he finally hit a spot up three in the final minute of the half, which was immediately followed by him gunning up a dumb followup three attemtp off hsi dribble a few seconds later. Blew the layup from Cuz to start the third, forced something realy ugly, and was off contributing to the debacle in his own special way jsut being incredibly selfish and trying to be the 5'9" Jordan and bring us back from 30 down all by himself. Eventually he would hit another three, but in general he missed and missed again from out there. Got to run the entire 4th as musical PGs continues, Brooks did not play, Jimmer is now a SG, not sure where Honeycutt was. Anyway...this sucked and "contributed" to our result.

Annabelle Wallis
Matthew Gray Gubler -- per Prophetess. FINALLY a fem steps up rather than the ridiculousness of having a straight guy trying to figure out who's hot or not and presenting them to women. Also, since toplessness is now in, I will start presenting the women that way too.

Thompson ( INC ) -- JT didn't start the game due to the Knicks going small with Carmelo at the 4. After those few good minutes for the Kings (which JT missed out on) the Knicks went on a 38-4 run and the game was over, over, over. Part of that run included four minutes of JT who had two nice stops on help D but did allow Amare to blow by him once and missed his only shot. JT didn't come back into the game until the fourth, which was 12 minutes of garbage time. JT didn't even do anything for the first 5 minutes of the quarter. Thompson ended up with 4 points and 3 rebounds in garbage time, but I'm not going to give him a grade based on that.

Oh In Hye -- and a dress that I think is more famous than she is. She's in it...well mostly...in about 90% of the pictures of her out there.
Thomas Gibson -- per Prophetess again. Hey I said A fem stepped up, not the gender as a whole.
Well, the Superbowl is upon those of us in the state (for those of you elsewhere to grasp the ridiculous hype/spectacle, imagine a single game of that funny little sport where you kick around the ball with your foot, if it were actually popular). And so I am not going to waste any more material on a lost game and a lost thread that nobody may read anyway. Here are the rest of the grades, such as they are. Catch you next time:

Fredette ( C- ) -- Yeah, I know, how can I give Jimmer a C- on a night like this. Well, to be honest, he played well in the 23 minutes he was in the game. Or should I say, he played well in the second half when the game was totally out of reach. However, he could have come in and just stunk up the place in garbage time like Outlaw did. But he didn't! He played hard like the game was on the line, as did T. Robb, and I can't in good concience penalize them for doing well in garbage time. As it is, I did downgrade Jimmer because it was garbage time. If he had put up these numbers when the game mattered, I would have given him a B. There's no doubt its easier to hit shots when your way ahead or way behind. At the same time, he did score 14 pts on 6 of 8 shooting. Along with T. Robb and Cousins, he was one of the few bright spots tonight lost in the darkness.

Thornton ( F ) -- I really wanted to give Marcus an INC. And maybe thats what he deserved. He only played 8 minutes in the entire game. And those 8 minutes are not very memorable, or they're memories we want to forget. As a matter of fact, I could probably say that he didn't play in the game, and quite a few folks out there wouldn't contend that statement. He had one lone basket for 3 pts, and that was it. The rest of his 8 minutes, he was either throwing up wild shots, throwing nice passes to the opposition, or traveling with the ball. Other than that, it was a perfect nignt.

Hayes ( INC ) -- layed 3 minutes to spell Cousins in second quarter. Did a decent job, forcing Amare into a travel in the post and getting a steal in the passing lane, but had no place when Knicks went super small (had to pick up Prigioni resulting in an easy 3) and came right out. Didn't play enough to get a grade.

Robinson ( C- ) -- Came in to a debacle and immediately gave up an easy 3 to Novak by playing in the lane when Novak was in the corner. Apparently got the memo after that because he started actually guarding Novak from that point and became for the most part a positive impact player. His D forced two turnovers, one from Chandler down low that resulted in a TRob coast-to-coast for the and-1, and another when his perimeter help made Felton lose it out of bounds. On one possession he aggressively fronted Amare and successfully denied an entry pass. He also made two nice passes into the paint, but Tyreke blew a wide open layup on one and Salmons didn't quite get the handle on the other and was forced to bring it out. Robinson played the majority of the garbage-time that was the second half, starting it off by again giving way too much space for a Carmelo 3. He played with effort despite the blow-out, so that's something. TRob blew by Amare for a layup and one (and hit 3 of 4 FTs overall, which is the best number I can remember from him). He played the disruptor again in the second half, forcing two more turnovers, but that's not the whole story. He continued to have trouble bringing down rebounds, only getting 4 in 26 minutes and rarely having any success trying to tap the ball to himself - in fact in one case the ball ended up going to Amare for an open dunk. He also had pretty poor results on his man defense, allowing 19 points on 11 shots with the Knicks hitting their first 7 straight shots taken on TRob before finally missing a few in the fourth. At least he was interesting to watch.

Outlaw ( INC ) -- Yeah, he played 19 minutes, but the game was completely over by the time he set foot on the floor. He played pretty meh in garbage time - active enough, rotating OK on help and getting his hands on one pass but it was far too little and far too late.
