Gawen Deangelo Wells....

hanchiho

Bench
bonzi's full name is Gawen Deangelo Wells. Does anyone know why he uses "bonzi"? or where does the name bonzi come from?

I knew it was his real name everybody, I was just wondering where hanchiho got that information from.

Edit: Wow, sorry, I accidentally put she instead of hanciho.

The point I was making is that Gawen sounds stupid and NOT tough. I'd take almost ANY name over it. So why not Bonzi?

Not much of an upgrade. ;)

Now if he had adopted "Bonzai" we might have something. :D

P.S. Have I ever mentioned that my father tried to name me Atilla before my mother put her foot down? Now that would have been cool. I wouldn't even use a username here, just my real one. :D Screw using "the bat". Meet my beheading scimitar! :p

I said it before, and I'll say it again... thank goodness for your mother.

One can only imagine the ego that would result from you being named Atilla... it's staggering.

Admit it -- you're just surprised I even HAD a mother. :p

I am, actually.

So often have I been told of your greatness that I half expected to one day hear the story of how you conceived, gave birth to, and raised yourself. ;)

My top three choices for my first daugter's name were (in order):

Atilla
Holger*
Genghis

for some reason my wife had all sorts of push back. (although her middle name does translate to "spear-maiden")

*we had just returned from a trip to Copenhagen, and Holger the Dane is the patron protector of Denmark, He is a big brooding brutish Viking who is supposedly still sitting under Copenhagen, brooding and waiting for a time when he is needed to emerge and lop off the heads of an invading force. all you cartoon critics beware.

Atilla?

I don't know if I am speaking for all the Serbians from Vojvodina, but Atilla (a common Hungarian name in Vojvodina) sounds like Clarence to me. Gets you about as much cred in Hungary/Vojvodina as Clarence would here.

No offense to any Kings fans called Clarence or any Hungarians called Atilla.

Yeah, and about half the boys born in Mongolia in the last 10 years are named Chingis (ie Ghenghis), but it means something HERE.

Sounds like Vojvodina is a badass little town! :p

Atilla the baker? Don't pee me off or I'll beat you to death with a bagel!

Sorry bozz, there was only one Atilla. The rest are just wannabes. ;)

Well...there could have been TWO Atillas, as if I'd gotten that name I'm fairly sure I would have launched a world conquest by now. But alas, was not to be.

Isn't it Attila? ;)

Actually, it is Atila in the original/Hungarian. ;)

Speaking of "tough" hungarian names - Shandor is the way to go. Every Shandor I know kicked the butt of every Atila that I know. :)
