I've come to the realization that I'm no longer watching the games to see a win. What I'm looking for is improvement by the players who are willing to work hard to prove they really want to be here.

I know the rest of the season is a time for George Karl to figure out what he has and what he can get from them.

So, I ... and a number of us ... continue to watch with at least one less thing to worry about. We know the Kings will be back next year...

GO KINGS!

According to the bot that posts the news links, Kemba Walker is expected to return tonight. So, pucker up, McCallum.

Player development, hope Cousins does not have a stroke, no one gets hurt.

About where I am, so similar outlook VF21

And I win either way, win I'm happy, lose helps the tank.

I'll still never understand why so many people insist on claiming 'tank', when the truth is that we're simply a bad basketball team. Tanking implies intent; it's like there are people who can't handle the fact that we could just be terrible, and have to attribute our terrible-ness to some sort of intelligent design.

Not sure why i need a grammar expert to critique my choice of words.

What would you describe our FO moves from Malone to Corbin to now?

I feel comfortable with the assessment.

PDA is an awesome tank commander.

Horrible guard rotation? Let's fix that by drafting a project!

Horrible PF rotation? Let's ignore that!

No depth at C? Let's sign Hollins!

No depth at SF? Williams will blow up into a 20ppg scorer, just y'all wait!

Up and coming coach that utilizes our best player properly and has the guys playing defense? Let's fire him because of pace!

.... then in the summer we either lose our pick, or Vivek "chief irritant" Ranadive has us use it on a Golden Statey type scrub. Setting the stage for NEXT year's race to a top 3 pick.

Anyways, negativity aside.... I'm with VF21. I'm looking for any silver lining tonight. Although a W would be ideal.

Not sure you would assume that my post is specifically a response to yours, when I didn't quote you. Also not sure why you'd assume that I just now had that particular thought. I express that exact sentiment, at least once a year.

EDIT - And I'm not a "grammar expert." I'm a pedant. If you're going to trash me, I'd take it as a kindness if you'd get your nomenclatures correct.

I am reminded of a favored saying of mine: never attribute to malice anything that can be easily explained by stupidity. As that saying applies to the Kings, I would say that I'd never attribute anything to tanking that can be easily explained by mismanagement.

I feel comfortable with the assessment.
The veracity of your assessment has nothing to do with your comfort level. And vice versa.

(Muggsy Bogues was cropped from the bottom. He's there, though.)2677766d298338980396ba0f8168d70e.jpg

Frankly, I don't see this as a win. Zo can do all sorts of things DMC can't - at least not yet. Larry Johnson is too much of a load for Rudy Gay and/or JT, depending on how they line up. Bogues will just break the team down with his quickness, but hopefully McCallum can exploit the size difference on the other end. I haven't even mentioned Dell Curry. JT and Tolbert, hm. I guess advantage us, but only because I remember Tolbert as well, Tolbert. Hawkins will eat up Stauskas. I'm afraid in this one.

Final Score:
Team Grandmama 145 - Kings 83.
Cousins ejected somewhere in the 2nd quarter, not for the reason you'd think.

I just hope we don't see any of this

Well, I guess that means finding a starting PF should be a priority for the off-season, no? I don't mind JT off the bench as long as there's someone better starting...

Thompson should always have been coming off the bench. He's great in that role. He could be a Top 5 backup center in the league next year; it's not his fault that management keeps putting itself in a position where he's forced to start at PF.

Choices fraught with errors because of ignorance or misguided beliefs. TANK to me is such a negative, nasty word - it means your team isn't even trying, that they're going out there to lose.

So I'm sorry if your feeling are hurt by the critique of your choice of words, but I heartily agree with him.

as in: what we've been doing each season past November for the last...where're we at now? 10 years? not that I disagree, it's just getting old.

as for the game: dunno, keeping the Hornets' lead under 10 would be nice, I guess.

The Kings haven't made the playoffs since drafting JT parting ways with Rick Adelman. Coincidence? I THINK NOT!!!

DISCLAIMER: I presume that Tet-chan is always being sarcastic, unless he says otherwise, but you just know that somebody's going to take his post at face value.
