[Game] Game 37: Sacramento Kings vs. Cleveland Cavaliers, 1/11/14. 6PM PST, 9PM EST

Once Lebron and Shumpert come back, I can see the Mozgov/Love/Lebron/Shumpert/Kyrie lineup being pretty effective.

I unfortunately have no faith in their coaching staff.

Blatt would be a perfect coach for a team like ours, but a championship caliber team like the Cavs? Not so much..

The Cavs have 0 bench. They'd try to steal an injured Casspi from us if they had the chance to..

that 2nd quarter might have been the best quarter i've seen under Ty Corbin. Unselfish offense and solid defense (besides some hot shooting from Irving)

Question, would you guys trade Carl Landry for Shumpert + unprotected 2015 2nd round draft pick?

Cavs have no bench whatsoever..

I'm very much in favor of Rudy ISO's against JR Smith. He doesn't have a prayer of guarding him

Actually, it's probably more accurate to say that prayer is the ONLY thing Smith is doing. He's not trying or anything. "Rudy got the ball again? Our Father, please .... AGAIN?!?"

As much as I appreciate Ray Mac for not being Ramon Sessions, he's about as much of a point guard at this point in his career as Ben McLemore is.

eh. Would essentially be saying we've given up on Nik and giving away our best bench player for a guy who's underperformed his expectations and dealt with injuries. Probably not at this point

On-court that's a tough call. Shumpert immediately upgrades Nik, but Landry has been pretty solid lately and we'd get a bit thin down low if we let him go. Salarywise it would be a no-brainer, though I think we'd actually have to include other players to make the salary work.

They wouldn't do that as I believe Shumpert is the guy they wanted in the deal with the Knicks. If you pair Shumpert with Irving and Lebron and Love, that's a good fit....kind of Doug Christie skill set, defensive guy. And not to start a huge conversation about it but I don't think PDA is looking for a guy like Shumpert. Doesn't fit what he's looking for it appears.

Where do I sign up?

That trade instantly makes us a much better defensive team and, while Carl has been a solid bench producer, his cumulative production can probably be replaced by several more minutes for D-will + Casspi (if he ever gets healthy) plus Reggie Evans would improve bench rebounding in his place. Ben and Shumpert are both capable defenders with Shumpert being a great on-ball defender and Ben improving on that end and, with all due respect to Nik, getting ANY production out of our backup SG position would be an improvement.

I don't think we're giving up on Nik. I think Shumpert and Nik can co-exist.
