Game 3 Sea/LA Viewing Party?

#1
I've got a crazy late afternoon/early evening so I may end up having to blow off one element of my weekly gym workout because of a potential scheduling conflict. Since I'll be up the street from Players I may just roll there at some point to watch the deciding game 3 and head back to the gym afterwards.

So...chances are that I'll hit Players at some point in the 2nd quarter or during or just a smidge after half time, or right at the tip, I just don't know exactly when yet.

Any body interested in gathering tonight @ Players w/me (eventually whenever I show up LOL)?

Funny thing you should mention this...because before I left my house this morning I asked my roommate if he would want to head to Players with me to watch the game (cause, ya know, we don't have Directv yet!).

So, yeah, I think I'll definitely be there.

And, I know....I'm getting off the computer RIGHT NOW! ;)

Would like to join you all, can't tonight. Will be joining you at a future game Either Monarchs/Storm or LA/Sac...hope it's the Storm so we get that week-end game. No matter we will have to get a very important road win.

Have fun you all...cheers. ESPN2 that is correct.
Anybody care who wins the East matchup? We know Katie Douglas is out with a fracture...I can hear them now...if only we had Katie!
I guess I'm neutral. I just want to see a 3 game series.

Part of NothinButHoops' post:

Yes, last year the Sun fans were saying, "If only Lindsay Whalen wasn't injured..."

Now, it will be, "If only Katie Douglas didn't get hurt..."

I'm more concerned about the Monarchs winning the Western Conference Series first. So, I really don't care who wins the Eastern Conference, just as long as the Monarchs wins the Finals again! But right now, we can worry about the WNBA Finals later on.

But if the Monarchs don't win the Finals, I would not mind seeing Detroit win, if only to see Katie Smith finally get a ring after all these years of playing pro b-ball.

GO MONARCHS!
GO ANYONE EXCEPT THE SPARKS! :D

Gawd...I've got to pay more attention...Katie Douglas fractured what? Who cares, East Smeast. Just get us out of the WCF and back to the title dance and let us handle business from there, that's all I care about.

Hairline fracture in her foot. She's likely out for the remainder of the playoffs. The diagnosis is better than what they originally thought, however. First speculation was that she had ruptured her achiles tendon.

Oh, and Bird did not actually break her nose, it's only a contusion. But the Phantom mask is back anyways.

First...thanks MamaB for answering my question.

Second...You have some 'xplainin' to do to get me to understand how you responded to a question you did not even read because you are no longer in front of a computer....you have exactly 4 hours or so to come up with a valid explanation that I would deem satisfactory. ;)

Maybe borrowing someone else's computer? Or she brought a laptop? :)

I didn't do it. Nobody saw me do it. Can't prove anything.

I wasn't about to waste a lick of my mojo on either of those two teams last night. We still need all that we can get.

MamaB, that was a very smooth maneuver on your part...the whole "waitress with questionable aptitude for diversionary comic relief" thing...nearly made me forget to get on your case and demand said satisfactory explanation. But I'm on to your ways now....I see how you roll ;)

waitress approaches the table with a cup in each hand...One is set down in front of MBF, the other in front of Mama... (then trouble begins... she starts THINKING)

"wait, ok, so...I was at the bar, and the diet was on this side, so....(turns around with a cup in each hand)...that must mean THIS one is the diet! Oh wait...(turns back around to try again)...no it's this one (switches the cups). Maybe you guys can just smell the difference! (giggles and bounces off)"

See, you know I had to get that waitess on purpose. We were so amazed by her...competence...that all other train of thought disappeared (much like the service). Therefore, you were unable to grill me about my message board trolling. Perfect setup. :D

That was just so...so...utterly CLASSIC. You just can make eh..stuff up that's that funny live, just can't. I was amazed that the last switcheroo happened to be right. Somehow, a scene from the "Princess Bride" came to mind during that whole sequence :D

[noting again that MamaB is STILL in front of computer...allegedly]

Sorry I can't join your viewing party, but I will be there in Spirit as I jump up and down and scream for our Monarchs from The Palms. :D

Now that sounds like fun...Jet Setting with 6th at the Palms!
I can only dream...you'll have to tell us all about it, maybe you can get a tour of the Maloof Hoop suite? I saw it on TV once...real fresh.

I can speak to the fact that the patrons had only the soft stuff. Our waitress? Not so sure she wasn't nippin' on something, or smelling other people's hard drinks.

That was the craziest thing I've ever seen somebody do. The fact that we only saw her once every 45 minutes only served to intensify the crazy factor.
