Has nothing to do with how you see the team vs how I see the team. PDA/Vivek have been extremely vocal in wanting this style of play.

You're subtly changing the narrative. This style of play, which suits D-Will, works tonight. Will it work against other teams? Not the point.

Wrong, wrong, wrong. This whole "smashmouth" regardless of personal or situation argument is just stupid. If you honestly think this roster tonight without Cousins should be playing slow-it-down smashmouth basketball then you don't know very much about basketball. If Cousins is in the lineup different story.
Had the Kings continued to play the way you suggest they'd be getting blown out right now. For most of the first quarter they played a very slow deliberate style with iso's for Rudy (while being double teamed) and they also continued to feed the ball to Reggie Evans in the post. It was odd because they almost refused to run or even move the ball in the half court. As a result they were getting their ass kicked and the defense wasn't very good either.
Late in the first quarter and for most of the second quarter they started pushing the pace and moving the ball and sure enough they got back into the game.
Do you really think forcing the ball into guys like Evans and JT in the post is going to work? Without Cousins the Kings have no big men that can score inside. Evans also doesn't seem to have a clue as to how to play defense against any style. He's a mess on the defensive end and Rudy is too. I don't think Rudy even knows how to contest a three.
As I finish typing this, they start the second half with a post ISO to JT and sure enough it fails with a turnover.
It's all about context and who you have. Without Cousins the context changes.

Again what else are they supposed to do. Without Cousins they don't have a choice.
Only a fool and I repeat FOOL would suggest running the offense through Reggie Evans and Jason Thompson as a way to win this game. That's not going to work especially against a shot-blocker like Len.
I would suggest it's foolish to even start the second half with Evans and JT. It didn't work in the first quarter in fact the offense was horrible.

Not at all. Our pace, after Malone was fired and PDA/Vivek talked about up-tempo basketball, in the four games under Corbin increased. We saw an increase in pace immediately.
This is a fundamental philosophy and a change our owner and GM are implementing. Boiling it down to DWill having a good 1st half against Pho misses the big picture. That we're giving up 110 PPG since Malone was fired is a byproduct of that.

Reggie is a disaster on the defensive end by the way. I'd rather have Casspi playing center right now.

Neither 'smashmouth' or small ball works with this roster. Not enough athleticism and scorers for small ball, and not enough interior presence for a grind it out type of game

Every night Bobby Jackson up there in a speaking capacity is a night we don;t have Doug Christie's eloquence and insight to be treated to, IMO.
I've wanted him in an analytical/commentating capacity for awhile, and instead getting Bobby "Most Definitely" Jackson instead is kind of a slap in the face to quality sports programming.

I'm not talking about the future or the past I'm talking about tonight only. I'm on board with your argument against the front office and their stupid firing of Malone and trying to force this team into an up-tempo team when their greatest asset is the best offensive center in the game.
TONIGHT and TONIGHT only. As I type this they just put Williams back in the game and the tempo and offense increased right off the bat.
The style of offense you want (without Cousins) would result in a sure loss tonight. It just would and you know it. The results are painfully obvious in specific sections of this game. Without Cousins they have to play the way they are right now. If they don't they will lose.
When Cousins gets back different story and we can all resume hating on the front office and forced style of play.
