Temple is good for the Kings on and off the court. I'd have no problem with him staying, as we still need a veteran or two around. My vote is Yes.

I would be good if Temple opts in and stays for another year.

But if he opts out, Shumpert will opt in and he can be the vet defensive SG/SF presence.

Insurance policy? We have Bogdan, Fox, Hield, and Mason at guard guaranteed. Not to mention Shump and Carter if we retain them. We really don't need him for anything except locker room presence. I'd be completely fine keeping him for nothing. But if he wants any more than that then I wish him the best wherever he goes.

It would all depend on the price. At that same price he's currently being paid, no! The plan for the Kings was to have almost 70 mil in capspace after next season, and if we were to give Temple an extension at 8 mil a year again, that might affect what the Kings are trying to do in our next offseason. I wouldn't be against making him an offer in the 4 mil a year range. If he takes that, I'm OK with it, but if he gets a bigger offer from another team, then I thank him, and wish him well.
