According to reports, Danny Fortson is considering retirement if he doesn't get traded. Would you want him? He is obviously very tough, but character would take a MASSIVE hit once again. Worth the risk if we could get him cheaply? I.E a Corliss or a Skinner and a pick?

Oh Hell NO!!!

Not in a million years! He'll be a "tough guy" to the tune of a technical every 2-3 games and a guaranteed suspension at least once a year. I want a team of athletes who work hard and play tough, not a team of thugs who deliberately injure opposing players having a good game against them. (Think Peja's hand in a game he dropped 30 in the first half) This guy bathes in preparation H!!

I DO NOT LIKE HIM AT ALL, but I voted "If we can get him cheap." I voted that way because I was thinking he would be a good guy to have on the bench for when we needed to foul sombody. After I voted yes, i strated to remember how much a DETEST how he plays, but it was too late to change my vote.

I know that I am being hypocritical here, but there is no way I would want Danny Fortson on this team. Now I have been supportive of Artest from the giddyup. I think that Fortson is worst than Artest for the mere fact that I have never ever heard anybody say a good thing about him. At least Ron was beloved by the Pacer organization in spite of his shortcommings. Fortson has pissed on everybody he has come in contact with. From Denver to Boston to Golden State to Dallas to Seattle. He has not stuck anywhere. And his level of talent does not justify taking a risk. Artest is so dog gone good, you had to take a risk.

But not Fortson.

No. He's not that great of a defender, fouling your man does not equal good defense. This guy needs 5 minutes to committ 6 fouls.

If he could come for cheap (A Corliss/Fortson swap works) I would do it.

the guy may be a thug, but I dont care...People might actually be afraid of nearly beaing decapited at the rim once they get by Bibby.,. He can do dirty work off the bench.

For cheap, I'd take him.

I'd take him. He can rebound the ball, is physical and gets some garbage points. The offensive rebounding is most enticing to me. He's good at scrapping for loose balls and then drawing contact. On the other hand, he is kind of a crabby guy and I don't know if we want to introduce that type of complainerism to the lockerroom.

yeya fortson, bibby, artest, wells yo dats da G unit. all gangsta all wid playn it up like they goin to war. gonna rek some chumps, kings will get a title with those bad *** mofos garenteee

Now if only we could somehow get Ruben Patterson we'd be set, huh?

The last thing we need alongside our current rehab projects is a punk like Fortson.

Let him retire. The world will be a better place for it.

Actually, the best scenario for the world would involve a precisely pinpointed meteor strike, but I'll take retirement as a second option.

I 2nd that, a A Corliss/Fortson swap would be o.k. and/or throw in Jason Hart in there, but that's about it. :D

He would be too much of a distraction in the locker room and on the bench. I think we have enough guys working on improving their rep. People like Forteson should be on a prison team where you are surrounded by others of like character. Also the pig tales are a big no no, kinda freaky for a big guy to be sporting in the NBA.

I voted no, but not because I'm terribly concerned about the character of the team. I'm just anti-pigtails.

I'd rather keep Skinner as our token big guy who will never see the floor.

where is tthe option "F- no, because he is a lousy, one trick pony."

He rebounds, that is it. He sucks at D, he sucks at O. He sucks.

Ultimately, no

Simply because of his attitude on and off the court (not meaning toughness/dirty play) that hasn't changed, and consistent heavy foul trouble.

id do it for cheap.... how bout thomas, hart, sampson and filler for fortson and radmonovic... im down...

Great rebounder. But let it be known. He is NOT a paint defender. He is only 6'7" and is not athletic. I loved watching him in Golden State, he was a beast there, I would have to say no.
