Former Kings star Wayman Tisdale dies at 44 (merged)

I have fond memories of bringing my daughters to their elementary school (Crocker/Riverside) during the Fall Carnival. Sure enough, there was Wayman surrounded by a swarm of adoring children. He signed everything handed his way, and never stopped smiling for the kids.

When you consider how many of the current sports stars behave around fans, then you realize - Mr. Tisdale was a class act.

Thanks for all the memories. He was always a class act and one of my favorites. He will be missed.

My prayers are with his family.

I guess this is as good of a place as any to post this. I made up an avatar and you are welcome to use it:

i may have not known him or seen him play but ill be sure to include him in my prayers when i go to mass tomorrow

Didn't get a chance to see you play but I did get a chance to play as you in my Tecmo NBA Basketball game for the Sega Genesis. I may not be much, but it's enough to know you were a great man. Rest in Peace!
