Sacramento Kings player status:
Bagley - GTD - Marvin Bagley scored 17 points on 8-of-19 attempts with seven rebounds, one assist, one steal, two blocks and one 3-pointer in 30 minutes against the Jazz on Saturday.
Advice: Bagley has now played 30 minutes in back-to-back games for the first time this season. Since returning from an eight-game absence, he's averaging 15.7 points, 6.7 boards and 1.3 blocks over his last three games. He had his left foot in an ice bucket following the game, but he said that it feels good. Bagley looks primed for a big stretch of games now that he's healthy and with Richaun Holmes (shoulder) out for the time being. (Yahoo fantasy player report)
Holmes - INJ - Richaun Holmes (shoulder) was able to get some on-court work in on Wednesday.
Advice: he was getting some shots up, but is still very limited from his injury back on Jan. 6. Holmes is going to be re-evaluated in about two weeks from now, so hopefully he won't need to miss much time beyond that.

Miami Heat player status:
Winslow - INJ - Coach Erik Spoelstra said Justise Winslow will be out for the next two weeks due to his back injury and will be re-evaluated at that point.
Advice: Winslow left the team over the weekend to see a specialist, and now we know he'll be sidelined through the end of the month.

GO KINGS!

It seems like when teams play their first (or in the case of teams in the West only) game in Miami it usually does not end well for them, I guess the young players enjoy that Miami nightlife too much. Miami has the best home record in the league at 17-1 so expecting a win is crazy, to keep it under 10 should be considered a victory. It is remarkable seeing the turnaround Miami has made in one season, they went 39-43 last season and are currently second best in the East at 29-13. Pat Riley and Erik Spoelstra make a great duo.

At this point, I’m recording the games then, when I get around to it, watching on 3x speed just looking at the score. If or when the KINGS aren’t down double digits, I downshift to regular speed and pay attention.

Doing it that way saved me wasting time with the Utah game on SAT, and a lot of frustration. They were down double digits then 20+ points pretty early so I never was able to downshift to regular speed.

It‘s sad it’s come to this. But it’s the only way I can cope.

Here’s hoping I get to watch a lot more of the Heat game. Perhaps Swipa will ‘get up with his red shoes on‘ in Miami again.

I just want to see growth from this team. Are they going to improve in their defense over the past several games, or are we going to see another 60+ point first half? We're probably going to know what the deal is in the first quarter. I guess we'll have to wait another game or so to see Bazemore.

Fox always plays well against Dragic. Bagley against Bam should be interesting.

Just saw a notification that Butler is OUT (hip soreness) for tonight’s game against the Kings. The Heat probably figure they can beat Sacramento easily without him.

To reiterate: This is the game thread. The player bashing, Luke bashing, references to draft picks, etc. belong elsewhere, especially during the course of the game.

GO KINGS!

I guess Kozimor has recovered enough to stop wearing turtlenecks every night? Also, did Kayte negotiate a new deal, after she became a mom, where she doesn't have to travel with the team, unless they're staying on the west coast?

Did she travel with the team before becoming a mom? I don't really have a recollection either way, but I certainly have the impression that the team typically hasn't brought along the sideline reporters on road trips.

Oh my. The Jimmy Butler highlights...I hadn't seen the "Miami Vice" alternates for the Heat. Oh my. Feeling REAL good about the gold lamé right about now.
