you ever try it on a rack of ribs?
bbq or smoking meats is one of the very few culinary paths I have not gone down. (Other than Jamaican Jerk)
We took a trip to Oregon to visit family and a great burger spot is Yaks on the 5 (in Dunsmuir, CA - looks like they added one in Mt. Shasta City as well). If you get the chance, go. You won't be disappointed in the food (burgers were great and my wife was complaining about my garlic fries all afternoon); the staff were very friendly and engaging and also funny. It looks like a dump on the outside but is homey and inviting once you go in.

I didn't realize that there was a belief on anyone's part that Aldi wasn't a national chain. Did y'all think it was only on the west coast?

Location: IowaI know that the original Aldi was founded somewhere "over there," and I don't know when or where the first Aldi store in the US was located, but I know that Aldi has been a thing in the States since at least the early 80s, and I've never lived on the west coast.
Um, I've lived on the west coast and have traveled fairly extensively and have seen, to my recollection, exactly one Aldi store. I think it was when my wife and I went to SoCal for a concert over Memorial Day weekend this year.I didn't realize that there was a belief on anyone's part that Aldi wasn't a national chain. Did they steal that bowl from a local McDonalds?Happened to be by the Tokyo offshoot/sister store of what is largely regarded as the top tsukemen dipping noodles shop in the world. Thought I’d share before the food coma sets in.
Not as good as the original location (which I admittedly haven’t been to for ten years) but a damn good bowl of noodles

My fam went to a Brazilian Steak House for my dad’s birthday the other night, and it was one of my favorite restaurant experiences ever. So many good proteins just walked around and given to you whenever you’re ready. And a salad bar loaded up on all the delicious cheeses you can eat.
Come hungry. I wish I had a bigger appetite because I wanted to keep going but my stomach shut me down.
Haha no, the version we make at my place is a tad less thick and a little more rustic. It’s pretty much a completely different dish but then again tsukemwn’s not really what we’re known forDid they steal that bowl from a local McDonalds?
I saw you post this on other social media and thought maybe you made it yourself!
They are crunchy.
Somebody sell me on bean sprouts.
They taste great in a bowl or Pho or any Vietnamese noodle dishesSomebody sell me on bean sprouts.
Do they? The last time I had some in some ramen, they didn't taste like anything. That's what prompted the question, actually: I was talking to my sister last night, and told her I'd made some ramen for supper, and she asked me what I put in it. After I told her she asked me why no bok choy or bean sprouts? The first part of that question was ridiculous to me, because she knows that I hate cabbage, and the second part was because I didn't buy any bean sprouts, because every time I've had bean sprouts they tasted (as stated by @Capt. Factorial) like "crunchy water."They taste great in a bowl or Pho or any Vietnamese noodle dishes
