Im thinking because this years draft is incredibly weak.... and this years Free Agents aren't that great... especially at the SF spot. maybe we'd be better off just Trading to get a semi star SF.... so First Round Pick + Casspi for ............ ?

although i dont know who'd that be...

im thinking a requirement would have to be 3pt shooting ace....

if we had a Kyle Korver(btw im not saying trade for Kyle) type 3pt shooter along with Thornton on the floor at the same time that would spread the defense and finally open things up for Evans and Cousins to operate stress free in the paint....

3pt shooter is a must

First round pick and Casspi for Derrick Williams if he decides to come out and we can't get him with the pick?

I know we should add a vet. But the UA homer in me wants this.

only 2 guys i could come up with were Dorell Wright and Danny Granger... and Casspi is semi as good as a 3pt shooter

I remember prior the 2009 draft everyone was complaining about how weak the draft would be. BUT 2 years later it seems like players like Griffin, Evans, Curry and DeRozan could really be stars in the league. So maybe the top of the draft isn't that great that year, but I think it's very deep. And I'm convinced that GP will get us the right player.

Granger and Iggy seem to be the same old rehashed players for this type of deal. I think we just keep the pick and take the BPA and look to move Casspi for a decent young 4th big man.

I'm all for this. The SF position is our biggest, possibly only need and Williams seems like a great fit to me. Also, this draft is more stacked at the SF position than any other position. So even if Derrick Williams doesn't happen, we might be able to trade for a lower first round pick and pick up a good player that way.

I've mentioned this before, but with Thornton's arrival there is no room for a volume shooter at that spot anymore, so it eliminates a lot of guys. You only have to look at our recent boxscores to see what the breakdown will look like, and that is before 1 or more of our young trio really begin to blossom toward their primes, at which point they may be demanding even more shots. And if you no longer need a volume shooter from that spot, its also been noted that 3 of the league's best defensive specialists are already FAs this summer, thus making a trade even more dubious -- its hard to know who you can trade for that can provide more defense than an AK47, Prince or Battier.

I like the lotto picks in this draft weak draft yes. but if Kings can get Kyrie, Barnes, Williams, T Jones, Knight, hell even Jimmer I take that trade Omri in the LONG offseason.
