First Home Game Close To Sellout!!!

SACRAMENTO, CA, October 27, 2009 ---- The Kings home opener versus Memphis on Nov. 2 is close to selling out, as less than 700 tickets remain and the Sellout 2009 Committee continues to make a significant impact in the community. Tickets are still available for the Nov. 4 game against the Atlanta Hawks, but they are going fast.
On Oct. 13, the Kings and Mayor Johnson announced an unprecedented community-based campaign to sellout the Kings first two home games – matchups against the Memphis Grizzlies on Nov. 2 and the Atlanta Hawks on Nov. 4.
In addition to Johnson, other members of the campaign Committee include: Bob Cook, Mike Daugherty, John Frisch, Matt Haines, Lloyd Harvego, Bobby Jackson, Gerry Kamilos, Sotiris Kolokotronis, Hayden Markstein, Arlen Opper, Randy Paragary, Chevo Ramirez, Tim Ray, Bruce Scheidt, Tim Stenvick and Allen Warren.
Fans can purchase tickets by visiting Kings.com, calling 888-91-KINGS or visiting the ARCO Arena Box Office today.

Hopefully you can get to some games!
Working on it. I am most likely going to the Nov 2nd game, and I hope to harass some of my Warriors fan friends who intend on driving to Sacto for their away game (yes, I know it means bringing Warriors fans there too, but whatever works). Other than that I am still in the dark. It's amazing how complicated it can be to get to a hall which is freaking one hour away from where you live.

Great great numbers for the ticket sale so far. I hope we get good reasons to keep it up in future games!

Anyone know if anything special is planned for the game?

Besides of course kicking off a season of exciting Kings basketball!
Usually the player intros are a little more fancy for the opening game.

On the other hand, seeing the Kings open their 25th season in Sacramento is pretty special. I hope the arena really is going to be near full and not one of those "sell-outs" with quite a few empty seats. I can hardly wait to be there, though. :)

Heck, I'm even antsy for tonight's game to be underway.

I don't know for sure, of course, but I strongly suspect the Maloofs are going to pull out a few stops for the fans who show up to voice their support for this year's team. And, as kennadog said, this is the 25th season of the Kings in Sacramento. They gave out special commemorative wrist bands for the 20th anniversary so I wouldn't be at all surprised to see something similar.

The game is definitely sold out...

So who has the best seats? :p
If you're gonna be sitting inside Arco, it's all relative. There are people who actually prefer upper level seats because the crowds are generally more enthusiastic, etc. than the lower level. There are those who prefer Kings Row, but if you're short you're not gonna see all the action.

I'm just glad we've got the sellout. I think it's gonna be a night to remember.

can not go but at least can watch..

I am so happy that kings drafted Omri. Being a Turkish fan of the Kings living in Israel, Omri's selection means I will finally see plenty of Kings game this year. Wonderful. :)

Its not about the "best seats" when attending a Kings game because any seat is pretty good. I'm glad the seats will be filled for tonight's game.
Most seats are pretty good in ARCO, but the ones near the top can't see the LED board near the upper corners that track total rebounds, blocks, FG%, etc. You can see the Jumbotron just fine, though.
