I'll be the guy to start this Fire the coach thread too.

Mikki Moore in the starting lineup again?

get out of here with that bull**** Natt. I miss Reggie right now and thats not a good thing.

Fire Natt and pick up a good coach while they are still out there.

You beat me by about 15 minutes starting this thread...

KENNY NATT HAS TO GO! Fire the bozo before it's too late!

I can understand Brad, he's gonna get traded so you want to keep his value high and let teams look at him..... But Moore is basically someone who is getting bought out after this season.....

This one I would sign on to...if I could think of any remotely reasonable option. No reason for the established coaches to want to come into this mess midseason, and we are fresh out of longtime NBA assistants with NBA experience.

I dont know, guys. This all makes no sense to me. Are we that stupid? is this franchise that whacked?

Holy friggin words I cant say on this forum, Mikki Moore got himself back in the starting lineup. Reggie played the kids quite a bit more than mister natt, and even benched pan hands mcgee aka mikki moore.

We could easily loose every game by 20 points, or we could lose every game by 20 points while gaining some experience for our young players.

If there isnt a fire kenny natt thread after every kings loss ( as long as mikki moore is starting ) than some kings fans on here are hypocrites.

most of you said as long as we are losing but the kids are playing hard and getting minutes than your ok with it. well guess what, with mikki moore back in the starting lineup this rebuild took a step backwards.

I believe we were giving him a few games to get used to making his own rotation, etc but I think you can clearly see the threads are starting up now :)

The problem wasn't Reggie. Sad that many fans thought so. Sad to see what is becoming of the team. The problem has been a stubborn and prideful mentality coming from the top, and it has been this way for years. The rebuilding we are doing this season, should have been done about three seasons ago.

The idea to have Hawes coming off the bench was, most likely, rooted in his current slump. He did very well coming off the bench before, remember?

Kenny Natt is the INTERIM coach. You know, as in the guy who will take all the lumps for the rest of the season before we go out and get a real coach in TDOS.

Did I miss something? Are we a contending team that is supposed to be winning games right now?

Some of you really truly do not get the rebuilding concept. And, apparently, you've been watching a different team than I have because the team I've watched just isn't that good. Period.

The occasional win notwithstanding, this year's crop of Kings reminds me all too much of some of the really bad years. The only difference is that some of you didn't live through the bad years the first time around so you have no idea how long it can take or how truly painful it can be.

Accept them for what they are - a team in transition that has no identity, no real sense of team or self, and not much to look forward to the rest of the season except perhaps a very good draft pick and the termination of several contracts.

We aren't going to pull off one miracle trade that makes everything right again and we aren't going to start beating teams we shouldn't beat. Embrace the cold hard reality and you'll be a lot better off...

You are 100 % correct. I truly do not get the Sacramento Kings rebuilding concept.

After all, our 2008 1st round pick got majority of his playing time AFTER we were down by 40.

I think the problem is Natt starting and giving more minutes to Moore than to Hawes, Greene, and Thompson all together when it mattered (not that any of this game mattered) He only played those three when it was pretty much garbage time.

I bet if it was a close game Mikki would have been in there for 30+ minutes easy. For that reason alone Natt needs to go. He's obviously has no clue and playing the youngsters a total of 12 minutes to Mikki's 18 minutes in the first half is just dumb. Natt is garbage, and should have left with Theus.

I'm all good with the rebuilding concept... but damn, we might as well start the kids if we're going to lose by forty-five. To paraphrase an old saying, they can do bad all by themselves...

cmon now, this thread is NOT rooted because of the fact the kings just lost by 40. I think its mostly because Natt put mikki back in the starting lineup and that the kids minutes have DECREASED since he took over.

You conistently blamed reggie for not playing the young guys and also blamed him for the lack of energy this team has displayed .. along with the lack of a system .. basically the lack of anything whatsoever. Thats fine and good, but Natt deserves that same treatment if not WORSE treatment because he got to see what reggie was fired for, and if he was smart he would do the opposite of what reggie did.. now hes going into mussness.

There's a difference between rebuilding and playing the kids, although for the most part it's considered the same thing around here...

Feel free to be angry. I just don't see it because it seems so big a waste of effort.

Peace...

:)

Yeah, a big difference. And that means we AREN'T officially rebuilding yet. We're just mixing useless vets with inexperienced rooks and hoping it gets us 25 wins.

Exactly.
Who the f*** put together the Blazers rebuild plan? or the Celtics rebuild plan? or the lakers rebuild plan??????????????????????? How many years will this take?

Someone needs to light a fire under the maloofs and petries *** and get our team out of the gutter.

A couple of years ago we were a powerhouse, now we're one of the biggest jokes in the league. We should have traded Miller before this season. We shouldn't of resigned Beno, and Salmons should be on the block.

God damn is this team frustrating.

Reggie was fired for a number of things, some of which I'm sure we know nothing about. Kenny Natt was appointed the INTERIM coach, most likely so the seat would be filled for the remainder of the year. (You know, so Grant and Jerry wouldn't be tempted to fill it themselves?;) )

I blamed Reggie for a lot of things because I knew he was capable of doing them but simply didn't. We don't know what directions Kenny Natt has been given, if any.

I can respect how some of you feel. I just don't agree with wasting all the energy because I think this was all pretty predictable from the moment Bibby was traded to Atlanta. It was just a matter of waiting for the details to become clear.

I'm not trying to be obstinate or contrary. I still love my Sacramento Kings. I know the players are very frustrated right now and I know how frustrating it can be for the fans. I've made peace with myself about it, though, so I guess it's not fair for me to try and argue with those of you who don't see it the same way.

We'll get through this. It's not gonna be a whole lot of fun while it's happening, though.

:)

Teh Celtics and Balzers were some of the biggest jokes in the league a couple of years ago too -- there is always this period. But our problem is that we had no vision and no plan in getting here, and it just kind of happened. So we are is disarray. It would all be so much easier to swallow if there was leadership and a clear plan.

Yeah, because I'm really sure Geoff and the Maloofs are having a whole lot of fun right now.

Good grief. You think you have most invested in the Kings than they do? They don't like this right now, either...

This thread wouldn't be here is Natt would just play the youngsters... Since he feels the need to start and give Moore more minutes than all the young players combined in the first half he deserves this thread. If anyone that knows Natt personally would point him to this forum, please do so.

The problem is that it is becoming clear that there was no point in firing Reggie. It took a struggling team and then made that team into a complete joke. The team would lose with Reggie, but the young guys were getting time(I guess not enough for some of you, but more time than they are getting now) AND on top of that, the young guys were showing promise and improvement.

I think the motion to play the vets must be coming from somewhere other than the coach. I think there was reasons Reggie was fired that had nothing to do with the team losing or their play. There is a mistrust that was born in recent years that is becoming greater and more bothersome with each season. The city, even the rather timid local media, might be on the verge of turning on the ownership and management.
