Finally, Who's Who at The Bee sports desk

I was curious about why we don't see Marty Mac much this year and who was doing what at The Bee regards the Kings. So I asked them and got the following from Bill Bradley, the Sports Editor, who OK'd this posting in KingsFan.com:
*************************************************************

Thanks for writing. Here is our rundown:

--Sam Amick is the Kings beat writer. His stuff shows up daily. Check
out his blog at www.sacbee.com/blogs. He blogs heavily.

--Ailene Voisin is our general columnist. She writes often about the
Kings, but it's her job to write an opinion piece three times a week,
not just Kings. She will have a Q&A with Reggie Theus in Saturday's
editions. Here is the link to her columns: http://www.sacbee.com/356

--Marty McNeal is our page 2 columnist. He writes twice a week and not
always about the Kings, although he just wrote about the Kings in
Thursday's editions. Here is the link to his columns:

--And Scott Howard-Cooper is the NBA writer. He writes an extensive
Sunday package on the NBA as well as long stories on the league. He *
just had an interesting interview with Wayman Tisdale that appeared in
Thursday's editions. Here is the link:

You can post that (above). You can also say that Melody Gutierrez is the Kings
backup writer and Assistant Sports Editor Victor Contreras
(vcontreras@sacbee.com) coordinates Kings coverage for The Bee.

Thanks for reading,

Since I don't see The Bee paper and only read it online, I was curious from afar. Now I know and I'm a happy camper. Hope you all are too.

Thanks, Dude, for getting this clarified for us. Interesting to know. And, thanks to Mr. Bradley for spelling it out for us.

Whatever happened to Marcos Breton?

And I remember that Mark Kreidler went to ESPN, but I haven't seen articles from him there either...

Breton writes in the Metro section now, I think and still injecting race into every article, no doubt..... ;)

He still writes occasionally for ESPN (he did a story about Webber's art/artifact collection recently), but I don't think he got an expanded role with them when he left the Bee. I thought he left to work on a book or something, but I'm not sure.

It's too bad. I haven't read much of the Bee's Kings coverage since he left.

First book was quite successful, I believe. He has a second book out or about to come out.

Found a website...
