Final Roster Spot?

So assuming we keep Brewer as a Backup SF- defensive specialist
We still have an open roster spot Left - our 14 would be:
PG: Fox,Yogi,Mason
SG: Buddy,Bogie
SF: Barnes, Burks, Brewer
PF: Beli,Bags,Caleb
C: WCS,Giles, KK

Yes I know Burks is technically a SG, but so was Shump
I think he would be part of our 10 man rotation-gotta play the man

Will be interesting what Vlade does next

A. Shake up our big rotation - Enes or Gortat?
B. 3rd SF such as Troy Williams?
C. Another PG?
D. Maybe keep the spot open until April
just in case there is a need due to injury to our 10 man rotation?

My choice is D - wait and see

I don't think we're gonna make any noteable splash with a Gortat, Kanter etc...

It'll prob either be Troy Williams or another low profile vet or youngster we'd like a look at.

I don't particularly care for Troy Williams.

I suppose a min contract to Troy Williams would be cool
If there was a need at a different position later , either Brewer or Troy could be waived
I think it will be Troy Williams. He has been waiting for his chance since his 2 way contract for the big leauge club ran out.

This is the #15 spot on the roster, so no need to pinch the other players playing time for a higher priced guy, unless it's a huge upgrade.

BTW, I think with Burks on board as a veteran swingman, that frees up Bogie to play more backup point guard.

I think this roster is set to make a hard run for the Playoffs! ;)

No matter how bad I want another center the choices are?
Kanter is a Starter or he thinks he is. Do we really think he would settle for the third option at center and have a better attitude than in New York?
But if he had his head on straight and saw himself on a team that would be really like 14 deep man I would think we would be hard to play against. We could pretty much do what ever we wanted on offense and have I would venture the deepest roster out there.
We pretty well know we will have some personal change come summer or the draft so let Kanter and WCS show who really wants to get paid.

Not sure if people are aware or not, but Burks played PG in college and has also played some Pt in the NBA. Just a few games ago for the Cav's he had 9 assists. He's a very good ball handler. I think people are going to be surprised how good a player Burks is.

I always thought he was more of a long SG/PG. Can he defend PGs?

Hmm. Tonight I saw him react slowly to contest a couple shots and had a bit of trouble with lateral movement. It wasn't due to lack of effort though. It's one game and I didn't watch him on the defensive end anywhere near enough to give a definitive answer.

No news yet on the final roster spot. At least nothing that I've seen.

What do you think will happen with Brewer? His 10 day is up soon. If he's not signed to a second 10 day contract or signed for the remainder of this season we will have two more roster spots.
