Final 2008 House Party Live Party is Scheduled

Okay, we are going to do one more HPL. I chose the last Saturday away game, April 5th. Since we will not make the playoffs again this year, I thought it would be fun to get together before the dreaded off-season begins.

I sent a request and received the following reply:

"I have looked at our schedule and shifted a few events around so your group can come out to the taping on April 5th. The only issue is that I do not have the budget to provided prizes again. Please just let me know how many people you are expecting and I will finalize the reservation for your group."

Please check your schedule and sign up as quickly as you can for this final party of the season. Let me know as I have already started a sign up log. Space is limited to members of KingsFans.com and their families and friends.

There will be a lot of kids at this event. I was given the okay to schedule many more people than normal. If everyone makes it that has signed up, we could have close to 60 people. I have kids making signs for the camera. The HPL crew is jazzed. It promises to be fun...fun...fun.

I was right. It was fun...fun...fun!!!

GeorgeofSacramento's 4th grade class was our guest. We had about 58 people in attendance and couldn't have had more fun. HPL wanted to do another FT contest since the last one was so successful. It was so great that I believe we topped the 1st one. Some of those kids are real shooters.

A special thanks to Annie and BudWright, and Prophetess, for bringing home-baked cookies and fresh fruit.

Once again, HPL was super pleased with our group's participation in the show. We continue to have a standing invitation to return.

BTW - George, tell your class (and their parents) that they got big kudos from HPL for their wonderful behavior. They have an invitation to return as well.

Thanks again for organizing the final HPL visit by HPL 6th...it was a lot of fun! The cameo from Ticha was cool, the nailbiting down to the wire FT contest was exciting, the comedy from the HPL show hosts was great.

Kudos to the elementary schoolers from me too! Thanks to everybody who brought healthier stuff than pizza. Thanks also for the cookies.

I had a wonderful time. It was great to meet some of you and see others again. I took pictures - including one of the proud FT winner - but I'm just too tired tonight to post them.

A major thanks and tip of the hat to 6th who did a fantastic job of putting this together and making sure everyone had a great time. And of course the Kings won. I'm sure they could hear the cheers from us all the way in Denver.

Thanks also to the great group of folks who put the HPL show together. They really made us all feel welcome!
