Favors to maybe drop to Kings?

I can't wait for the 24th to see what really unfolds, but the thought of getting Favors almost seems plausible if Johnson leaps to to 3rd. I would think Minnesota would go on a limb and take Cousins in that event? But who knows, Wolves have unexplainable drafting habits (both taking players who play filled positions and taking players who made it clear they did not want to be drafted by them).

The thing is that Favors does not need to truly drop to us, people are forgetting that if there is any softness or uncertainty amongst teams in the few picks ahead of us we might be able to move up a couple of spots by swapping our #5 + an asset to a team in the #2-#4 range that is a little ambivalent and not 100% sold on their pick. You can't do that for teams committed, but if a team is shaky those sorts of little 2 or 3 pick moves are sometimes possible. They get an asset and a guy who they think might work almost as well, you get a guy you like better.

If there is any shot at Favors, we need to take it. He fits what we need. I doubt there is a shot at him though.

i mean Chad Ford was blabbering on today that Cousins could go at 2, then he said Favors goes at 2 oh and Cousins would be the lock number 1 pick if he didn't have an attitude.

truth is no one knows.

I obviously think that if Favors is there you have to draft him, but we really have no idea what GP thinks of him. He hasnt been on the 'radar' for us, and I never read anything positive out of that one workout he did with Cousins.

Yeah I wa sjust reading this rumor wass about to start a thread about it luckily I got this one to rant in.

This is the most stressful draft for me in years only because of Reke and the teams growth. Whomever GP chooses I really believe this guy has to be ready to contribute now because of how strongly our rooks we drafted last year came out of the gates. The rumor has it that the Nets had another strong workout with both Favors and Cousins and that Cousins came out some strong that the Nets questioned Favors.

But now they are looking at Johnson thinking they can try and snatch up one of those free agent 4s?

So what does this say about Favors or Cousins? I don't think the Nets take Johnson while they have TWill there already as I think he can do more than Johnson including run the team.

I think if it comes down to Favors or Cousins Id still take Cousins especially if the rumors of him being able to knock down open jumpers is true. But we also can't overlook Favors shot blocking ability.
