Family pics

He looks really happy PDX and very cute. Where did you get the bike seat? I've never seen one like that before.
It is an i-Bert Safe-T seat. A friend from an old job had one and recommended it, I think we got it from Amazon (was actually a gift or I'd have bought from my local shop).

When you arrive on your due date, what do you do for an encore?

Take your first steps at your first birthday party in front of all the grandparents with all the cameras rolling. I have video somewhere but haven't had time to play with it.

Ryan: Great pics and your daughter is beautiful!

pdx: A year old already? ;) Love the cake. What a handsome little guy. The first steps was a nice birthday touch. :)

jon e - They showed you guys on TV!

kingfanpaul - Great looking family. Love the hat!

I've been playing around with photo mosaics to give to the grandparents for Christmas, possibly get them blown up full size on canvas.

If you take at least one photo a day, may as well do something with it, right?

Here's one I've done as a test, small size.

About 2000 photos in this one, max one duplicate. I will probably go no duplicates once I get some more photos transfered.

2 for 1: just saw this on wifey's facebook:

Awesome Mickey Mouse Firework for the Mickey fanatics out there.

Great experience for the baby. I recommend not going until they hit 5 years old though, 2 year olds are impossible to control. No one could convey that with the required gravity before I went. 2 year olds are nuts.

@PDX - that's freakin' cool

Great pics, Ryan!

One word of warning? It doesn't get much better if they're 5. They might listen a little better, but they can also run a LOT faster!

:p

I remember my first trip to Disneyland when I was 4 my feet were sore from waiting in lines midway through the first day. It was a 2 or 3 day trip, so I don't think I ran off anywhere. I remember causing quite a bit of trouble the last time I went when I was 17 though.

My mother in law lives pretty close to the park but I think I have 4 as the target date for TJ's first trip.

40 inches is the minimum height requirement for many of the rides, go when they're that tall. It's a pain to park the stroller, pull on the backpack, and pawn off your kid to the nearest willing relative so you can at least ride space mountain once.
